This is a salvage Vehicle that was originally purchased from an insurance auction I purchased it from a dealer that got it from the auction. It is not currently in running condition. IT IS NON-RUNNING. IT IS BEING SOLD AS IS WHERE IS. I was told that the vehicle was involved in a flood. I have the original clear Salvage title from New Jersey. I don't know what further needs to be done to repair this vehicle. Be sure to check with your state prior to bidding to determine what needs to be done to register a salvage in you state. All inspections are welcome and should be done prior to bidding. Please do not bid unless you intend to purchase the vehicle at auction end.
What I have done so far to the vehicle: I started to make the repairs to this vehicle, but it don't have time to finish the project or to get further into it to determine what further needs to be done. So far I replaced the both rear taillights with upgraded led design ones, and the wire harness to connect lights in the electrical system. I purchased a brand new key for the vehicle programmed to the vehicle (the vehicle didn't come with one). I purchased one brand new AMG rim for the passenger side front. I purchased 4 brand new Hanook performance tires and had them installed and balanced. I purchase 4 new center caps for the AMG wheels. I installed a brand 1000cca new 5 year warranty battery, I installed 2 new MB original hood shocks to hold the hood up. I spent a day cleaning it up a bit. Other than that I had to stop working on it. From what I can tell Its definitely going to need some electrical work to get it running and what ever mechanical needs will have to be determined once its running. I noticed that the fog lamps in front are missing, side marker lights are missing, the wiper blades are missing, their is some paint missing on the back bumper, a light scratch on the hood, front bumper cover has some cosmetic issues. I took a bunch of pictures to show you the overall condition.
Information from the Web on this vehicle: This 2009 Mercedes-Benz CLK 350 comes is convertible (cabriolet) body style. The V6-powered CLK350 comes with 10-way-adjustable power front seats, heated front seats, leather upholstery, dual-zone automatic climate control, a power-adjustable tilt/telescoping steering wheel and a six-speaker audio system. The Grand Edition, available only on CLK350 models was limited to 1000 production vehicles, they included different 17-inch wheels AMG Style aluminum wheels, cross-drilled brake rotors, a lowered sport suspension and stainless steel pedals it also includes all the COMAND system with navigation, Bluetooth phone connectivity, rear-seat side airbags, keyless ignition/entry, an electronic trunk closer, a contouring driver seat and active ventilated front seats. Powertrains and PerformanceAll 2009 Mercedes-Benz CLK models are rear-wheel drive. The CLK350 comes with a 3.5-liter V6 that makes 268 hp and 258 pound-feet of torque. This engine is paired to a seven-speed automatic transmission with manual shift control. Fuel economy for the 2009 Mercedes-Benz CLK350 is 17 mpg city/25 mpg highway and 20 mpg combined. SafetyStability control, antilock disc brakes with brake assist, active front head restraints, front-seat side airbags and full-length side curtain airbags (on coupes) are standard. Rear-seat side airbags, and pop-up roll bars (that automatically deploy in a rollover) located behind the rear seats are standard. Interior Design and Special FeaturesA combination of luxurious leather, wood and chrome makes up the majority of the CLK's cabin. But although the fit and finish is generally excellent, some of the plastic trim on the upper door panels seems somewhat low-grade for this class. Most controls are easy to use, though the COMAND interface is of an older design, and many functions remain unintuitive even after reading the owner's manual. One feature of note is the CLK's automatic seatbelt "presenters," which make buckling up easy to manage when the doors are shut. Also, powered front seats make it relatively easy for rear-seat passengers to enter and exit. In the coupe, the rear seats fold down completely, providing a flat load floor that allows long items to be carried inside the car. The convertible features large side windows and a relatively slim roof design for good top-up visibility, and the power top can be quickly lowered or raised simply by pressing a button on the key fob. Maximum cargo capacity in the coupe is 10 cubic feet, while cabriolet models offer only 9 cubes.

Clark Gable's 1955 Mercedes-Benz 300SL Gullwing doesn't sell, then does sell for $1.85 million [UPDATE: w/video]
Sat, 19 Jan 2013How much extra value does previous celebrity ownership add to of a car? Really, there's no way to know until the car in question hits the auction block and bidders start raising their hands. In the case of the 1955 Mercedes-Benz 300SL Gullwing you see above, the celebrity owner is none other than Clark Gable, who purchased it new. After Gable's death in 1960, the car changed hands a few times before settling with Charles Wood in 1975.
A high-dollar restoration was performed in 1989, and period accessories added by Gable himself were kept in place, including the Rudge knock-off wheels and Nardi steering wheel. Any Mercedes-Benz 300SL is worth a big chunk of money. In the case of Clark Gable's old Gullwing, the bidding stalled at $1.9 million here at the 2013 Barrett-Jackson auction in Scottsdale. As one of the 5000-series cars, this 300SL carried a reserve, and a bit of after-the-fact dealmaking saw the car change hands for $1.85 million.

Weekly Recap: Takeaways from the Frankfurt Motor Show
Sat, Sep 19 2015We obsessively covered the 2015 Frankfurt Motor Show, and naturally, we selected our favorites from this fall's biggest automotive event. Now that the dust has settled, we're looking ahead to what it all means. Here are three takeaways from the floor in Frankfurt. The Germans are serious about electric vehicles: It's a bit cliche to say BMW, Mercedes, and Audi have downplayed electrics in favor of other technologies, like diesels. For a time that may have been true, but those three companies, along with Porsche and Volkswagen, are emerging as leaders in EV development. That was on display in Frankfurt, when all of them revealed either all-electric or plug-in hybrid models. Gas prices are relatively low in the United States, but clearly the Germans are thinking long-term and globally. Everyone is serious about SUVs: You gotta have one, even if you're Bentley or Jaguar. It's 2015 and it's what consumers want. As Jaguar design director Ian Callum put it, "Not to be in the sector would be a little naive for the sake of purity." It's not just the flashy exotic luxury makers. Nissan showed the Gripz concept, which is rakish, radical, and meant to blend traits of SUVs and sports cars into a vehicle that really crosses over. Look for more, especially in the luxury sector, as Rolls-Royce, Lamborghini, and Aston Martin ramp up their own SUV efforts. There's no ceiling to the luxury market: Speaking of high-end cars, companies are continuing to invest in extravagant wares beyond just SUVs. Even during the recession, ultra-luxury makers remained relevant, and now they're back at full stride. In Frankfurt, that was illustrated by yet another S-Class model, the cabriolet, which will come in S550 and S63 AMG variants in the United States. Ferrari also showed off the 488 Spider, and Lamborghini opened up the Huracan LP 610-4 Spyder. Meanwhile, Bugatti's Vision Grand Turismo concept reminded enthusiasts that it's plotting life after the Veyron. European auto shows always draw the glitziest reveals from luxury makers, and this year didn't disappoint. OTHER NEWS & NOTES 2016 Honda Civic redesigned with snazzier style, turbo power The 10th-generation of the Honda Civic debuted this week at events in Los Angeles and Detroit ahead of its launch in the United States this fall as a 2016 model. Honda fortified the Civic with LED lights, an available turbo engine, and a more tech-laden cabin.
