I am selling my 1997 Mercedes-Benz S600. It has a clear and clean title in my name. I bought it and the motor locked up. It had SEVERAL electronic and computer related issues. A previous mechanic had the electronics taken apart. I was able to get it running but it gave out lots of error codes from the various computer modules.
I was able to get it running but very poorly. Then, the motor seized. THIS IS A PARTS CAR AND NOTHING MORE! I will list what I know works and hopefully, someone will buy this for a parts car as getting parts from the dealer can be prohibitively expensive! Power windows, all 4 work. Driver side mirror works. Passenger worked until I bumped into it (see photos) Power seats work including motors that move seat back and forth when letting passengers into the back seat. Head rest power raising and lowering.. both sides. Steering column power. Trunk motor that raises and lowers trunk handle. The tires have about 75% tread however, they may be close to 10 years old. New Die Hard movie wrecked 132 cars in $11 million chase scene [w/video]

Next Mercedes-Benz C-Class to get diesel, hybrid versions
Tue, 16 Apr 2013Mercedes-Benz is planning a more aggressive product strategy for its next-generation C-Class range. "We were fighting the 3 Series with two arms tied behind our back, and now we will change that," Steve Cannon, the automaker's US CEO, told Automotive News in a recent interview.
In addition to offering more body styles of the new C-Class, AN reports that the revamped Mercedes will also be offered here with hybrid and diesel powertrains. Currently, the C-Class comes in coupe and sedan variants, with only gasoline engines. The BMW 3 Series, however, is available as a sedan, coupe, convertible and wagon, and offers buyers the choice of gasoline, diesel (the upcoming 328d) or hybrid power.
Mercedes-Benz will show the next-generation C-Class at the 2014 Detroit Auto Show, with sales of the US-built sedan following in August. Coupe, convertible and hybrid models will follow in early 2015, and while diesel and all-wheel-drive versions are planned, no specific timetable has been released regarding availability.

Lewis Hamilton in the Mercedes-AMG Petronas got the best of Free Practice 1, opening the curtain on a possible resurgence of Silver Arrows performance. By the time qualifying was done, though, it was his teammate Nico Rosberg who lined up second on the grid, followed by Romain Grosjean with a beautiful performance in the Lotus, Mark Webber in the Infiniti Red Bull, and Hamilton all the way back in fifth. Behind them were Felipe Massa outqualifying Ferrari teammate Fernando Alonso, Jenson Button getting the McLaren into eighth, Daniel Ricciardo with another good Q3 effort to get into ninth, and the shocker of Esteban Gutiérrez getting his Sauber into the top ten for the first time this year.
At the front of the pack was Sebastian Vettel. Again. But he was only ahead of Rosberg by a single tenth of a second...
