This Highly sought after 1973 Mercedes is a survivor.
With a powerful 4.5 liter fuel injected v8 and automatic transmission
With both removable hardtop and hideaway soft top.

Recovered from its life of leisure, Refreshed and ready for service.
After removing and cleaning the gas tank and fuel system.
I Replaced fuel pump, gas gauge sending unit.
Installed a New battery, belts and radiator hose
With New tires and New front brakes,
New upper and lower ball joints, and tie rod ends only add to its regal stance

It still needs a few of your finishing touches. Seats for example.. Once glorious red leather are now what I call ventilated, with the sheepskin seat covers, none need know.
Although the dash has a couple cracks the carpet is in fine shape.

the only evidence of an incident is a touch of cracking body filler above the passenger side headlight.
The respray is a head turning silver matte finish that is all the rage these days.
The only clue of its 178k miles is a puff of smoke on initial startup.
Classic plates eligible without the hassle of emissions.
Mostly rust free!  a new fender off of this site will eliminate all the cancer.
I bought this car to drive while my alfa was in the body shop. after daily driving this lovely mercedes for a year I am passing the savings on to you!
An ideal candidate for full restoration or drive as is.
It just needs your distinguished eye to make it feel like yours.
All these petty details will wash away when cruising, top down, wind in your hair with the moon in your eyes.

Mercedes releases 6x6 G63 AMG specs and pics [w/video]

Fri, 15 Mar 2013

Mercedes-Benz has finally dropped full details on its insane G63 AMG 6x6. The machine puts 544 horsepower to all six wheels thanks to a twin-turbocharged 5.5-liter V8. A seven-speed gearbox shuttles power to the ground via three sets of portal axles, which helps give this machine a full 15.75 inches of ground clearance. By comparison, the standard G63 AMG sits with just 8.27 inches of ground clearance. The extra lift allows this 6x6 to ford nearly 40 inches of water and run massive 37-inch tires. All told, there are five differential locks on this thing, all controlled by a special "locking logic" that provides the best traction possible for any given situation.
The controls offer up three stages of locking, which we can only assume range from JKLOL to OMGWTF. Right now, AMG says this monstrosity is only a show vehicle, but we imagine it wouldn't take much to convince the team to whip up one of your very own. Check out our full gallery and the press release below for all the nitty gritty. While you're down there, you can also check out the video on the machine one more time.

Race Recap: 2013 Japanese Grand Prix flips several scripts [spoilers]

Mon, 14 Oct 2013

Japan's Suzuka circuit is a great track that all the drivers love, but it doesn't usually provide the most thrilling, head-to-head racing. Where it does excel, however, is with surprises and "What just happened there?!" moments, and this year it was no different.
It started with Mark Webber in his Infiniti Red Bull Racing out-qualifying his teammate Sebastian Vettel for the first time this year. They were followed closely by Lewis Hamilton in the first Mercedes-AMG Petronas, the still-solid Romain Grosjean again outdoing teammate Kimi Räikkönen, Felipe Massa racing for another seat in Formula One and putting his Ferrari in fifth, then Nico Rosberg in the second Mercedes, Nico Hülkenberg in the first Sauber, Fernando Alonso in the second Ferrari, and Räikkönen continuing to do himself no favors by qualifying tenth.
For the second year in a row, the lights going out was the cue to start the first corner action...
