If you’ve found your way here, chances are that you know about this car – the ultimate sleeper, super rare, super FAST, luxurious, with all the reliability, technology, and creature comforts that you’d expect from a top-of-the-line Mercedes… did I mention fast? The combination of nearly 600 horsepower and all-wheel drive means 0-60 in 3.6 seconds, all while being able to carry groceries, soccer equipment, mountain bikes, you name it… I’ve owned this pristine, diamond-white-on-white-interior E63 AMG S for a year, but I am moving to NYC where I won’t be using a car nearly as much. That’s not an invitation to make low-ball offers, as I already have a backstop from a buddy for a decent price. But I’m putting it online first. And at a very good price too. If you’re not interested in waiting months and months to directly order a new one from the factory (there are practically no changes between the 2014 and 2015 model years), if you're not interested in paying a huge premium and losing 10K driving off the lot, if you're not interested in a 2,000 mile break-in period, and if you want a car that has been PRISTINELY taken care of by a true enthusiast, then make an offer. Here’s what you should know. I am fanatical about maintenance, detailing, and general care, and, as you can imagine, this E63 wagon is in great shape. Since it came off the boat, it has never spent an evening outside. As you can see from the photos, it has a comfy climate controlled garage at home and an underground garage spot at the office. 100% of maintenance has been done at the same dealer and all related records can be provided to the buyer. I have never had to take the car in for anything other than the routine maintenance – it has been absolutely bulletproof reliable. Not to mention you are covered by what’s remaining of the FULL Mercedes warranty for 48 months and 50,000 miles.

2013 Mercedes-Benz GLK250 Bluetec gets 33 mpg, priced from $38,950*
Tue, 30 Apr 2013It's been more than a year since we first saw the 2013 Mercedes-Benz GLK250 Bluetec unveiled at the 2012 New York Auto Show, but it looks like the compact diesel crossover is finally starting to roll into dealerships. Those wanting to buy a diesel GLK will only have to pony up an extra $1,500 over a base, gas-powered GLK350, as the GLK250's starting price is listed at $38,590 (*not including $905 destination charge).
The turbocharged 2.1-liter four-cylinder diesel produces 200 horsepower and 369 pound-feet of torque, and Mercedes-Benz has also provided some fuel economy numbers for this model, with claimed EPA estimates of 24 miles per gallon city and 33 mpg highway. There is no listing for the GLK250 on the EPA's website yet, but the figures represent significant increase over the GLK350's lackluster 19 mpg city and 25 mpg highway figures, which are for the rear-wheel drive model. The GLK250 comes standard with the 4Matic all-wheel-drive system - a $2,000 option on GLK350 - meaning that if you want an all-wheel-drive version of the 2013 GLK, it's actually cheaper to opt for the diesel model. Mercedes-Benz CLA stars in sweeping short with supermodel Karlie Kloss
Wed, 16 Jan 2013The Mercedes-Benz CLA earned itself a spot on our list of the top five unveils of the 2013 Detroit Auto Show, and for good reason. The German luxury compact is the first small car from the Silver Arrow that looks suitably premium inside and out. Nowness.com has turned out a new video of the CLA featuring super model Karlie Koss in the lead role. We aren't entirely sure what the premise is, but from what we can tell, it looks as if the CLA comes to life and proceeds to be a giant jerk.
After Koss stops to take a closer look at a white horse, the CLA gives the supermodel the old stop-and-go treatment before leaving her on the side of the road. Eventually, the sedan makes nice, but Koss has to ride shotgun instead of taking the controls herself. You can check out the video below to see for yourself.
Mercedes dealers authorized to spend $2,500 on perks for S-Class customers
Mon, 02 Dec 2013If you drop $100,000 on a luxury sedan, it seems only reasonable to receive some preferential treatment at the dealership you purchased from. After all, that price isn't just for the car - you're paying for the brand and all the cachet that entails. For Mercedes-Benz, those benefits have apparently been lacking relative to the German brand's luxury competitors.
That's set to change, though, as Automotive News reports that the German brand is placing a much greater emphasis on keeping its customers happy and loyal with its MB Select program. Starting with the new S-Class and spreading to the CLA-Class (and eventually beyond), dealers are being given money - up to $2,500 in the case of the flagship sedan - just to improve the customer experience.
We agree, improving the "customer experience" is quite a vague term, so it's nice that Mercedes USA's CEO, Steve Cannon, offered up some examples to AN at the LA Auto Show. For example, a customer couldn't fit his sunglasses into the overhead compartment. "So we bought him a pair of Ray-Ban sunglasses that fit because of their shape," Cannon said.
