2006 Mercedes Sprinter Grooming Van Gorgeous Rig, Great Mpg's on 2040-cars
Manhattan, Kansas, United States
I am selling my beautiful Mercedes Sprinter Pet Grooming Van with 80,000 miles on it. It has a turbo charged 5 cylinder diesel engine and gets extraordinary gas mileage, 22-25 mpg! There is a power inverter electrical system with four deep cycle batteries with 2 outlets in the grooming studio and 1 in the rear mechanical compartment. There is sufficient lighting, big tinted windows and an exhaust fan. It comes with at Romani clipper vac and a recirculating hydrobath. The fresh and grey water tanks are each 65 gallons, the largest I have ever heard of. There is an on demand hot water heater. The rear AC is very powerful. Some of the water pumps are brand new in the grooming system. The van can also be plugged in and operated without the engine running. There is not even a switch to flip, it automatically changes to external power. I am selling my van WITH the graphics and will include a CD with the original artwork from your graphic artist. Call me quickly, this is the lowest priced Sprinter I have seen anywhere. I have owned this van for going on two years. It is for sale due to a recent change in my family life. I hope to add more photos soon or contact me if you think of additional questions. I really adore this fun business and hope to find it a great home. I don't know much about shipping cars and hope the buyer comes to drive it home, but I will try to accommodate any legitimate purchasers. THANKS FOR LOOKING! |

Next Mercedes-Benz GLK to get AMG variant? Not likely...
Fri, 15 Mar 2013If you think Mercedes-Benz will slap an AMG badge on anything with wheels, think again. Word has it the German manufacturer will not offer buyers a performance version of the GLK, with Tobias Moers, director of AMG vehicle development, saying that he doesn't see a market for the car. That's not to say the picture won't change in the near future, however. According to CarAdvice.com, AMG is keeping a close eye on the arrival of the Porsche Macan.
"Maybe there will be a change in the market when the Porsche [Macan] comes up," Moers said, "but right now, no."
The real hitch in the giddy-up seems to be cost. Moers says developing the machine into something worthy of an AMG would represent "a huge investment." We can't exactly argue with that. Fortunately, AMG buyers have plenty of Mercedes-Benz models to choose from.
Mercedes-Benz S63 AMG officially teased in mini video
Mon, 15 Jul 2013The followup to the Mercedes-Benz S550, the S63 AMG, will sport a biturbocharged V8 that will likely turn out around 550 horsepower. The new engine is probably the 5.5-liter, biturbocharged V-8 that's been popping up in everything from the ML63 to the E63 AMG. The front fascia is more aggressive, which shouldn't come as a surprise, while a meaty exhaust setup can be found out back.
We managed to pick all that up from a short, 17-second video posted by MB. The original video that unveiled the S63 AMG has since been pulled down, making this YouTube clip the best look we now have at the new super sedan, at least until the Germans give up the goods for real.
Be sure to check out the video below, along with our original posting on the S63 AMG.
2017 Aston Marin Lagonda could live on Mercedes M-Class platform
Tue, 29 Oct 2013A few weeks ago, we brought you news from the launch of the Aston Martin Vanquish Volante that the British brand, which is formally known as Aston Martin Lagonda, was still planning on going ahead with a Lagonda-badged crossover. Now comes word that that vehicle could very well be based on a Mercedes-Benz M-Class.
When the first Lagonda Concept debuted at the 2009 Geneva Motor Show, it sat on a Mercedes-Benz GL-Class platform, some four years before Aston Martin and Mercedes-AMG deal was inked. And with that partnership, which will see Aston Martin gain access to AMG electrics and "bespoke, V8 powertrains," the opportunities for platform sharing are many.
Dr. Ulrich Bez, the boss of Aston Martin, told the UK's AutoCar, "I look at what Porsche is doing with the 911 as its core business and then it is able to do models like the Cayenne based on the Volkswagen Touareg. It is good business." We've said many times that we'll tolerate exotic CUVs and SUVs if it means keeping the beloved core models alive, which has been the case with Porsche. We see no reason Aston Martin wouldn't be able to do the same.
