2014.5 Range Rover Sport V8 Supercharged with Dynamic Package

I Purchased this car in late May after waiting over 6 months, drove home, parked it in the garage and then went on vacation for a month.  Balance of 4 year/50,000 mile factory warranty here in the USA- Approximate end date is 5/20/2018 or 50k miles, whichever occurs first.  Extended warranties to 100,000 miles are available at any Land Rover dealership prior to your factory warranty expiring and are negotiable in price.  I've heard but not confirmed up to a year wait for this car.  MOTORWEEK just named the V8 Range Rover Sport it's 'Dream Car' for 2014. Since returning from vacation, I have hand washed the car, applied 1 coat of Liquid Glass Polish by hand, and then did a final hand buff with a velour cloth.   As the photos will show, the car has a glass finish without a spec of tar, insect remains, or water spots.  Much cleaner than what most dealerships are willing to do prior to delivery.  It will look like it's ready for Pebble Beach for the buyer when it leaves my garage.

To all prospective buyers of this model car:  I wouldn't own one without the Dynamic Package.  Spend the extra money and get the car that Land Rover engineers intended the car to be.  The sound of this super car in dynamic mode while accelerating down the road will make the weak cry.  The thrust will make your mouth drop when you're sucked in the sumptuous wrap around leather seats and the cabin will fill with the soundtrack of the best sounding forced inducted V8 in production.  The only thing that comes close in my mind of sounding similar is a Vette ZO6 accelerating up to 190 while blowing the doors off a Ferrari 430.  Yup, I've been there!!  And that's exactly why I can NOT own this car.  I know myself well enough to know that I'm not disciplined enough to drive this vehicle rationally, so I'm better off selling it before I even try such shenanigans.

My good old Marine friend who just passed away would tell you that this car will provide a "diamond cutter hard-on- you know it's hard when you can carve your initials in a plate glass window"!

The deep black over dark tan is stunning in person.  I have neighbors stopping by just to check it out.  All of them have opined on how beautiful the interior color is, especially with the black headliner, and the shiny black paint.  They want me to detail their cars now!

I watched a similar V8 with an MSRP $2,000 higher than my car sell here on ebay a few weeks ago for $106,990.  The car had a white exterior with the same interior as my car.  I have my car priced accordingly, but I will entertain offers.

I have a clear title in hand free of any liens or encumbrances for a smooth and quick transaction.  However, I will not release the car until the funds have been wired into my account or a cashiers check has been inspected and confirmed by my bank.  Remember, I'm a private seller so this may be advantageous for some buyers depending on which state you reside.

The 80+ photos below will show the car in Access Height, Standard Height, and Off Road Height.  Please take the time to allow all photos to load. The Window sticker at the end will show you all options on the car. Feel free to ask any questions via email.

Weekly Recap: Chrysler forges ahead with new name, same mission

Sat, Dec 20 2014

Chrysler is history. Sort of. The 89-year-old automaker was absorbed into the Fiat Chrysler Automobiles conglomerate that officially launched this fall, and now the local operations will no longer use the Chrysler Group name. Instead, it's FCA US LLC. Catchy, eh? Here's what it means: The sign outside Chrysler's Auburn Hills, MI, headquarters says FCA (which it already did) and obviously, all official documents use the new name, rather than Chrysler. That's about it. The executives, brands and location of the headquarters aren't changing. You'll still be able to buy a Chrysler 200. It's just made by FCA US LLC. This reinforces that FCA is one company going forward – the seventh largest automaker in the world – not a Fiat-Chrysler dual kingdom. While the move is symbolic, it is a conflicting moment for Detroiters, though nothing is really changing. Chrysler has been owned by someone else (Daimler, Cerberus) for the better part of two decades, but it still seemed like it was Chrysler in the traditional sense: A Big 3 automaker in Detroit. Now, it's clearly the US division of a multinational industrial empire; that's good thing for its future stability, but bittersweet nonetheless. Undoubtedly, it's an emotion that's also being felt at Fiat's Turin, Italy, headquarters as the company will no longer officially be called Fiat there. Digest that for a moment. What began in 1899 as the Societa Anonima Fabbrica Italiana di Automobili Torino – or FIAT – is now FCA Italy SpA. In a statement, FCA said the move "is intended to emphasize the fact that all group companies worldwide are part of a single organization." The new names are the latest changes orchestrated by CEO Sergio Marchionne, who continues to makeover FCA as an international automaker that has ties to its heritage – but isn't tied down by it. Everything from the planned spinoff of Ferrari, a new FCA headquarters in London and the pending demise of the Dodge Grand Caravan in 2016 has shown that the company is willing to move quickly, even if it's controversial. While renaming the United States and Italian divisions were the moves most likely to spur controversy, FCA said other regions across the globe will undergo similar name changes this year. Despite the mixed emotions, it's worth noting: The name of the merged company that oversees all of these far-flung units is Fiat Chrysler Automobiles. Obviously the Chrysler corporate name isn't completely history.

Jaguar-Land Rover builds millionth vehicle at Halewood

Fri, 29 Nov 2013

Jaguar-Land Rover is not what you'd call a volume automaker by any stretch of the imagination. But in the dozen years since it started manufacturing at its Halewood plant near Liverpool, England, the automaker has already built its millionth vehicle.
The landmark vehicle is a Range Rover Evoque, done up in white with red roof and mirrors, black wheels and a red and black interior. The crossover is set to be donated to Cancer Research UK, which will auction it off next year to help fund its projects in the north-west of the country.
Halewood started manufacturing the Jaguar X-Type in 2001, then went on to assemble the Land Rover LR2 / Freelander 2 before taking on production of the Evoque a year and a half ago. The facility reached the 300,000-unit milestone just last year as production moved to a 24-hour cycle for the first time in either marque's history.

NHTSA, IIHS, and 20 automakers to make auto braking standard by 2022

Thu, Mar 17 2016

The National Highway Traffic Safety Administration, the Insurance Institute for Highway Safety and virtually every automaker in the US domestic market have announced a pact to make automatic emergency braking standard by 2022. Here's the full rundown of companies involved: BMW, Fiat Chrysler Automobiles, Ford, General Motors, Honda, Hyundai, Jaguar Land Rover, Kia, Mazda, Mercedes-Benz, Mitsubishi, Nissan, Subaru, Tesla, Toyota, Volkswagen, and Volvo (not to mention the brands that fall under each automaker's respective umbrella). Like we reported yesterday, AEB will be as ubiquitous in the future as traction and stability control are today. But the thing to note here is that this is not a governmental mandate. It's truly an agreement between automakers and the government, a fact that NHTSA claims will lead to widespread adoption three years sooner than a formal rule. That fact in itself should prevent up to 28,000 crashes and 12,000 injuries. The agreement will come into effect in two waves. For the majority of vehicles on the road – those with gross vehicle weights below 8,500 pounds – AEB will need to be standard equipment by September 1, 2022. Vehicles between 8,501 and 10,000 pounds will have an extra three years to offer AEB. "It's an exciting time for vehicle safety. By proactively making emergency braking systems standard equipment on their vehicles, these 20 automakers will help prevent thousands of crashes and save lives," said Secretary of Transportation Anthony Foxx said in an official statement. "It's a win for safety and a win for consumers." Read on for the official press release from NHTSA. Automakers making the commitment are Audi, BMW, FCA US LLC, Ford, General Motors, Honda, Hyundai, Jaguar Land Rover, Kia, Maserati, Mazda, Mercedes-Benz, Mitsubishi Motors, Nissan, Porsche, Subaru, Tesla Motors Inc., Toyota, Volkswagen and Volvo Car USA.
