OK, I am officially listing my car up for sale. To begin, YES, I know
my car has more miles than most Lamborghinis! I drive it every day and
every where and love it to pieces . . . so, again, YES it has 38,000+
miles on it. Given that, I am sure any buyer will have a a multitude of
questions to ask of me. I am available virtually anytime
by email (andrew.sweet13@gmail.com) and will work hard to make myself
available via cell (704.608.5050). I should also mention that I have a
ton of high resolution photos that I can easily send to those interested. Here are the
highlights:
- Full factory warranty remaining through August 2014 (option remains to extend for 2 years). Clearly the car has no mechanical issues as they would have been addressed under the warranty. Literally not a thing to be addressed on the car. Starts, runs and pulls hard every day. - New, proper tires 3k miles ago. - Fully serviced including most recent full fluid and filters done ~250 mi ago. - Front half of the car has spent its entire life in clear bra. - No body damage, accidents, paint work, etc. Clear title / Carfax - I am the second owner and purchased the car ~7 months ago from Lamborghini Atlanta with a PPI - All keys, tools and car cover - New OEM SL floormats at time of purchase Lowlights / full-disclosure: - Front right wheel lightly curbed (parking garage brain fart) - Had small portion of driver side seat bolster re upholstered - the color match is not exact - Plastic engine covers/surrounds are not on the car (were not there when I purchased) - As one would expect, suede steering wheel is matted, per usual - Very small chip in wing clear coat (should not have opened engine bay in low garage) - size of a BB - Small paint blemish near gas cap (looks like previous owner hit it with gas nozzle) - less than size of a dime That's it. Super solid car that is a ton of fun. One heck of a great driver. Would like to consummate a quick sale here. $2k non-refundable deposit due at time of auction close. Full payment due 5 business days after auction closes. |

Ken Block and friends race light in silly-beautiful Castrol commercial
Wed, 28 May 2014How does one make fast, loud, drifting cars better? Well, you can add more fast, loud, drifting cars or you can add lasers. Either or, really. In this case, Castrol did the right thing and added both, creating a highly stylized commercial for its Edge Titanium motor oil starring South African racer Adrian Zaugg, BMW factory driver Augusto Farfus, Audi DTM and Le Mans staple Mike Rockenfeller and some bloke named Ken Block.
Their cars? No surprise, but Block is in his Ford Fiesta GRC, while Zaugg samples a Lamborghini Aventador and Farfus and Rockenfeller drive along party lines, with a BMW M4 and an Audi R8, respectively. And those cars look good, too, thanks to the creative light and laser work on display.
Take a look below for the video from Castrol.
1963 Lamborghini 350 GTV still looks fresh on Pebble's Concept Lawn
Sun, 18 Aug 2013We already brought you a gallery of Lamborghini's latest rockstar, the Veneno, from it's vaunted spot on the lawns of The Quail here in Monterey. Apparently the Italian brand didn't want the Pebble Beach crowds to feel left out, so it brought the supercar along to the Concept Lawn here as well. Not to miss out on the classics action Lamborghini has matched the Veneno with the car that started everything for the company: the original 1963 350 GTV prototype.
With 50 years separating the Veneno from the debut of the hip 350 GTV at the Turin Motor Show, Lamborghini cheekily mentions that it has stuffed "100 years of innovation in half the time." We'll leave the judgments of historical significance in the capable hands of the Pebble judges, but will agree that the original Lamborghini still looks amazingly hot, decades after its reveal. Apparently the classic 350 GTV doesn't travel a whole lot either, so we're happy to have a chance to lay eyes on it here.
Lamborghini Gallardo LP 570-4 Squadra Corse brings one-make series to the road
Wed, 31 Jul 2013Lamborghini announced a new Gallardo model today, the all-wheel-drive LP 570-4 Squadra Corse, and it's almost identical to the LP 570-4 Super Trofeo single-series race car. Its world premiere will be held at the Frankfurt Motor Show in September.
The street-legal Squadra Corse shares key components with the Super Trofeo - both of which are based on the Gallardo Superleggera - including the 570-horsepower V10, carbon fiber rear wing and removable engine hood made in the same material. The rear wing produces up to three times more downforce than what's found on the LP 560-4. Through the generous use of weight-saving materials and components, the Squadra Corse weighs in at 2,954 pounds, which is 154 pounds lighter than the LP 560-4. To stop all of that mass, standard production carbon-ceramic brakes are used.
Carbon fiber bucket seats with Alcantara center inserts replace the regular seats, though buyers can option them back in. Alcantara also covers the underside of the dashboard. The door panels, center console cover, handbrake frame and lower section of the steering wheel are all made in carbon fiber.
