Up for auction at a LOW RESERVE is this Zombie Apocalypse -themed Flat- Black 1994 Jeep Wrangler YJ Sahara with a matching Hardtop and Full-Steel Doors.

It has a 4.0L EFI Gasoline Engine with a 5 Speed Manual / Standard Transmission and Functional 4WD (4 Wheel Drive). This Jeep is FUN in the Snow, Mud, Dirt and Sun!

It has been modified to seat 3 in the rear with seatbelts!!!

Other modifications are steel flat-fenders, which will need a little more welding/grinding to clean up (or, you can completely remove them, if you choose to do so). And, side venting on the hood to accommodate the high-heat output of the torquey straight-six or you can raise the front fenders up a full 3"! (Google: Highline Fender). A CJ-7 Grille / Hood are lined up for sale (by a friend) locally for $300, if you'd like to purchase that as well.

The fuel pump was replaced 2 years ago, the starter and alternator were replaced last year, and the TPS (throttle position sensor) was replaced this past winter. It has been running solid since the TPS was replaced.

There are NO mechanical issues with this vehicle and no tricks / BS - I am ONLY selling because I bought another jeep to haul around my 3 kids and our camping gear. I had more plans for it, but I need it out of my driveway and hope someone gets it that will do it justice.

And, also, the body is in good condition. There is surface rust under the carpet, but I was going to bedline it this summer. Finally, the paint on the hood was sun-scorched and is peeling - a little sanding and can of flat-black rustoleum will make it match the body.

IT'S A JEEP, SO IT MAY HAVE SOME SCRATCHES ON THE FLAT-BLACK PAINT JOB - CHICKS DIG SCARS ;)

Happy Bidding!

Chrysler adding 200 jobs at Ohio Jeep Wrangler plant

Fri, 15 Mar 2013

Chrysler is betting that the Jeep Wrangler will continue its strong sales surge as it continues to push the legendary brand out across the globe. The Auburn Hills automaker is reportedly adding 200 workers at the Toledo, Ohio plant that builds the Wrangler. What's more, those new hires will be at their posts quickly - they'll be on the job by April 1. Of those 200 workers, 130 employees will be there to relieve those who need breaks.
Why do they need so many relief workers? The Toledo Jeep Complex is currently working at a torrid pace with two ten-hour shifts. A third shift has been ruled out for the moment because of a production botttleneck - the plant's paint shop is already maxed out. According to Reuters, Wrangler production in 2012 cleared 200,000 units, and US sales were up by 16 percent.
Another part of the Toledo plant is presently down as Chrysler retools the line to build Jeep's divisively styled Liberty replacement, the Cherokee (seen in our gallery below). Production for the new model is scheduled to begin toward the end of May.

Jeep Cherokee finally dealer-bound

Tue, 22 Oct 2013

We had our First Drive of the 2014 Jeep Cherokee last month, but it appears that prospective buyers won't have too much longer to finally get time behind the wheel of the new small Jeep.
Automotive News is reporting that after a two-month delay, Jeep dealers will finally start receiving their first shipments of the new Cherokee, in the next 10 days. A Chrysler spokesperson confirmed to Autoblog that the Cherokee is indeed on its way to Jeep dealers.
According to AN, about 23,000 Cherokees have been built since production commenced back in June, but potential powertrain issues forced Jeep to make adjustments to the Cherokee along the way. Automotive News says that in order to make sure there are no issues with the Cherokee before it reaches customers, it is testing each vehicle after it rolls off the assembly line at a rented test track near the vehicle's Toledo North Assembly Plant.

Jeep launches new ad with unreleased Michael Jackson track

Fri, 09 May 2014

We've recently heard much about how Fiat-Chrysler CEO Sergio Marchionne plans to pump up the volume on Jeep sales, inaugurating new models and global dealerships. But that's the stuff outlined in five-year plans; right now, advertising and special editions are at the fore, and the late Michael Jackson, too. Jeep has begun airing two commercials to push its Altitude Editions, Call of Summer and Lovers of the Game, that feature the song "Love Never Felt So Good" from Jackson's upcoming album of new music.
A little more star power - and timely, too - comes from Cleveland Cavaliers point guard Kyrie Irving. While Call of Summer features a few short shots of the former Rookie of the Year and two-time NBA All-Star, Lovers of the Game is all about his white Wrangler Altitude Edition and wrangling shots. You can watch both spots below, and if you want to hear the rest of the music track before the album hits, you can download it from iTunes.
