2002 Jeep Liberty Limited 4wd 3.7l V6 Lifted on 2040-cars
Cincinnati, Ohio, United States
Up for sale is my 2002 Jeep Liberty Limited model 4x4.
Heated seats and hitch mounting on the rear. AC and all electronics work as it should One of the valve seats came loose couple months ago, which triggered and upper engine rebuild. The upper engine rebuild was completed and now it runs like a champ! over 500$ in machining work (Have receipts to show proof) - Engine Heads shaved and pressure tested - 3 angle valve job - new Valve Seats - New Valve Stem Seals Previous owners had the car lifted ~4in, and it sits on 31'' tires. Looks great and can handle almost any terrain, sits high. Ready for winter ! Couple of disclaimers / known issues: - minor scratches/dings (expected for a 2002 year car) - suspension could use new shocks - Remote control fob does not function since battery died, it will need to be re-programmed. - Factory alarm still works, but it cannot be de-activated from driver's side door. Locking mechanism / opening lock from drivers side is OK. - Fender guard inside protective plastics are cracked, likely from the big tires rubbing off when over steering Selling because I am looking to upgrade to newer SUV in the BMW family. SOLD AS IS Thanks for looking, any questions, just ask. Priced below market value to sell fast. |

WWII Jeep 'found in crate' set to cross Greenwich auction block
Thu, 30 May 2013Fans of old military vehicles might want to pay extra close attention to the Greenwich Concours d'Elegance coming up this weekend. Crossing the Bonhams auction block on Sunday are a pair of seemingly flawless World War II Jeeps, which are both expected to fetch serious dollars.
Lot Number 305 at the auction is a 1945 Ford GPW Jeep that has been fully restored, which is expected to command between $35,000 and $45,000. Shortly after the Ford GPW, a potentially more interesting 1944 Willys MB (shown above) will be auctioned off, but Hemmings raises some red flags about this Jeep. First, it is claiming to have been "discovered in its original crate about 30 years ago," but there is no proof or documentation of any sort. Also, it is claiming to be all original, but it was given a paint job "shortly after it was discovered." Even with these questionable descriptions, this Willys could reach between $20,000 and $30,000. Head over to Bonhams' site and Hemmings for more information on both WW2-era Jeeps.
Another crazy custom Jeep Wrangler spotted in Morocco
Sun, 03 Mar 2013What in the world is the vehicle you see above? Well, um... yeah. We have no idea. According to the video description from YouTube, however, it's a modified Jeep Wrangler, and it comes from the same person who created the equally insane side-by-side merged Wrangler you saw here.
We can clearly make out the Wrangler-shaped passenger compartment up top, but as for the other bits and pieces that make up this rather amazing machine, your guess is as good as ours. At the very least, it seems to us that the car's wheelbase has been given a significant stretch, and the grille may have come from an International LoneStar Harley-Davidson Special Edition semi truck.
What other components are sourced from the massive International hauler? No idea. We suggest you check out the video below and draw your own conclusions. Oh, and if you've got any other ideas, feel free to let us know in the Comments.
SEMA crowns Mustang, FR-S as this year's hottest cars in the building
Wed, 31 Oct 2012After wrapping up the first day of the 2012 SEMA Show, organizers handed out awards for some of the trendiest vehicles on display. Since the whole point of SEMA is to show off new products available in the aftermarket world for use in cars, trucks and SUVs, each year, the show distinguishes the most popular vehicle in various segments. Not surprisingly, this year's Hottest Car and Hottest Sport Compact are the Ford Mustang and Scion FR-S, respectively, while the Ford F-Series brought home the Hottest Truck and the Jeep Wrangler was named the Hottest 4x4-SUV.
More than 2,000 companies are at this year's show, and the display booths represents a "vote" for each car to determing the trendiest vehicles in each of the four categories. It isn't clear if these awards also take cars brought by OEMs into account, but the Mustang and FR-S were definitely well represented by both OEM and aftermarket show versions.
As usual, the OEMs showed up in force at the this year's SEMA Show exhibiting a variety of cars ranging from production-intent cars like the beastly Ford Mustang Cobra Jet to much flashier rides like Scion's Carbon Stealth FR-S.
