This 1984 Jeep CJ 7 Laredo 4x4 which spent its whole life in SoCal and has original paint, absolutely no rust issues and original miles. It is a Turn Key Jeep, jump in and drive home, the jeep was always garaged! Engine: 6 cylinder original motor that starts right up, sounds amazing, runs flawless and very powerful. The motor idles perfect and has plenty of power ,no smoke. Transmission: Manual 4 speed transmission that shifts perfect without any grinding, popping or whining. 4x4 works fine but I've not had it out in the sand dunes or mudding The transmission and clutch shift perfectly and the jeep stops on a dime. Suspension: It has 2" lift. The Jeep drives great. Body: Body is in great condition and original. There is absolutely no rust on this Jeep. This 1984 Jeep Laredo which spent its whole life in SoCal and has original paint, It does have NO rust on the underbody/undercarriage, interior floors and a nothing on the windshield frame. It has almost NO scratches and blemishes what is unbelievable for a 29 year old Jeep. The front bumper and grill is like new. Paint: The exterior is original color Black and looks great, you can still see the factory rivet marks and the natural "waves" that the jeep had when it was born. Jeep comes with original hard top and hard doors. The original paint is very shiny, reflective and shows like new. The decals are like new. Hardtop: Factory original hardtop No cracks, cuts or damages. Interior Gauges/switches: The interior is completely original Brown with dark Brown lining, It does not have a rip, stain or color discoloration. The Heater blows warm and all blinkers, horn, switches, gauges work without problems. The door windows easily roll up and down. The original dash pad there. Jeep gunning to build 250,000 Cherokees a year
Thu, 21 Mar 2013Contrary to what a certain politician may have said last year about Jeep moving to China, the automaker is in fact doing the opposite, with plans to greatly increase the production capacity at its Toledo North Assembly plant in Ohio. The Detroit Free Press is reporting that there are big plans for the 2014 Jeep Cherokee and Toledo North, as a local union president has informed the newspaper that Chrysler is planning to produce around 250,000 examples of the new midsize utility per year.
To put this number into context, 250,000 units is more than what Jeep Liberty sales totaled here over the last three years combined. Even taking into consideration that the 250,000 units will be distributed beyond US borders, that's an ambitious volume figure full-stop - and that's without taking into consideration the new Cherokee's love/hate design. In its favor, though, Jeep is making remarkable inroads globally as of late, and the Cherokee's size could work well in emerging markets. To get that kind of output from Toledo's Cherokee assembly line, Chrysler will reportedly hire 1,105 new workers - that's in addition to the 200 workers already being hired to build the popular Jeep Wrangler, which is itself expected to top 220,000 units this year.

Wagonmaster has made a name for itself restoring and selling factory-perfect Jeep Grand Wagoneer models, bridging the gap between when the last production machine rolled off the line in 1991 and present day. The company's efforts haven't gone unnoticed. The entire Jeep product planning team took a little field trip to the company's facility in Kerrville, Texas back in December, and they weren't just there to take in the sights. According to owner Leon Miller's son, Chip Miller, the Jeep team was there to do research for the successor to the Grand Wagoneer throne.

After their rented 2007 Hummer H3 failed them during the brutal Rallye Aicha des Gazelles in Morocco, Amy Lerner and her sister Tricia Reina were on a quest to find the most capable production off-roader for their next competition - they chose a 2012 Jeep Wrangler Unlimited Rubicon. Their next mission was to find a company with the competence to configure it to win. After poring over Internet forums and perusing countless magazines for an outfitter who could meet their demanding requirements, they sent their bright orange JK ("Crush" is the official color) to American Expedition Vehicles (AEV) for some modifications.
The Michigan-based team at AEV kept the Jeep's 3.6-liter V6 and automatic transmission stock, but replaced the hood with a tall AEV Heat Reduction Hood and added an AEV Snorkel Kit for water crossings (it serves double-duty as its raised height helps to keep the air intake out of the kicked-up dust on the trail). Front and rear off-road bumpers were bolted in place, and AEV skid plates were added to provide additional undercarriage protection. A pair of IPF-900 off-road lights improve visibility, while a 10.2-gallon AEV Fuel Caddy (located behind the exterior spare) added some range. The suspension was upgraded with a 3.5-inch lift kit with Bilstein remote reservoir shocks, and 35-inch Falken Wildpeak A/T tires (LT285/70R17) were mounted at all four corners on AEV's beadlock wheels.
