1979 Jeep CJ7 Renegade
304 rebuilt crate engine several years ago. 3 speed shift as it should Thank you for viewing my auction for a decent original paint 1979 CJ7 V8 Renegade. I hold a clear NC title in hand. This is a very straight forward what you see is what you get type of jeep. The pictures do not really make it look any better or any worse in appearance than in person. It does have some rust as shown in the pictures but I would not consider it rotted out or beyond repair. Frame is very solid. The driveline is solid and works as it. There are no drips on the floor under the jeep. (i do check to make sure it has oil). The tires are showing a little age but appear safe and have nearly new tread. Engine runs well with no noises or smoking. The carb is a little sluggish but nothing to prevent it from being driven. Lights and gauges could use some repair. Please no questions regarding if the Jeep will make it back to your location. I'm sure it probably will just fine but that's not up to me to decide. Low reserve as I look forward to an easy transaction on giving this great CJ7 a new home. Jeep will be sold as is where is. There is no warranty. The Jeep is in running driving condition as stated. Chrysler recalls small number of 2013-2014 cars and trucks over engine debris
Thu, 12 Dec 2013Chrysler is recalling a small number cars over issues with their 2.4-liter four-cylinder engines. The recall, which affects 522 examples of its 2013 Dodge Avenger and Chrysler 200 models, as well as 2014 Jeep Compass and Patriot CUVs has to do with potential debris in the balance shaft bearings.
The abrasive stuff can cause the oil pressure to drop, which could lead to the engine stalling or outright failure. This situation could at best leave drivers stranded and at worst lead to a crash.
Chrysler will begin notifying owners, who will need to report in to have the balance shaft module replaced. All repairs are naturally free of charge. Scroll down for the bulletin from NHTSA.
