FOR SALE BY DEALER *1977 JEEP CJ-5* HERE IS A NICE RESTORED JEEP CJ5 THAT WE OBTAINED AS A TRADE IN AT OUR DEALERSHIP. THIS JEEP HAS A 360 ENGINE WITH ABOUT 2000 MILES ON IT, THE ENGINE HAS HEADERS, EDELBROCK ALUMINUM INTAKE AND CARBUREUTOR, EDELBROCK VALVE COVERS AND AIR CLEANER. IM NOT SURE ON WHAT THE INTERNALS ARE BUT I CAN TELL YOU WHEN THE 4 BARREL OPENS UP IT WILL SCREAM. THE ENGINE IS MATCHED UP WITH A 3-SPEED MANUAL TRANSMISSION THAT SHIFTS GOOD, I DID NOTICE THAT 3RD GEAR SCRAPES A LITTLE GOING IN GEAR. THE INTERIOR HAS NICE CARPET, THE 2 FRONT SEATS HAVE SEAT COVERS ON THEM AND WOULD NEED TO BE RECOVERED. THE REAR SEAT APPEARS TO BE OUT OF A NEWER WRANGLER AND IS NOT BOLTED DOWN. ALL GAUGES WORK EXCEPT FOR FUEL GAUGE. EXTERIOR OF THE JEEP HAS A NICE SHARP APPEARANCE, THE BLACK PAINT IS SHINY AND NO RUST WHAT SO EVER ON BODY OR FRAME. Jeep Liberty replacement takes shape
Wed, 16 Jan 2013Now that the Liberty has left us for greener pastures, it's time to start looking into the future of the midsize Jeep model. The next all-new vehicle for the off-road brand will be the SUV you see here, effectively replacing the Liberty, and not necessarily carrying on with that name.
From the sides, the prototype you see here sort of looks like a miniature version of the handsome Grand Cherokee, albeit with a bit more in the way of body sculpting. Up front, the seven-slat grille will be front and center, with completely revised headlamp designs that are reportedly angular and sweep well into the front fenders (you can sort of see what we're talking about in the side profile). That doesn't sound very Jeep-like, but we'll reserve judgment until we, you know, see the thing.
The bigger question with the Liberty replacement will be whether or not its off-road chops will be up to snuff. After all, the two previous generations of Liberty models were body-on-frame traditional SUVs, whereas this new Jeep rides on a larger version of the Dodge Dart platform.

Let's talk asses for a moment. What do they have to do with the 2014 Jeep Grand Cherokee SRT, you ask?
Well, we're here to tell you that this SRT can haul some. Lots of them, as a matter of fact: Jeep has increased the towing capacity of its most powerful SUV to 7,200 pounds. Assuming the average donkey weighs about 400 pounds, the Grand Cherokee SRT can haul ass to the tune of 18 burros, give or take a covered trailer or so, which is significantly more than it could in previous years. In 2013, the machine could manage 5,000 pounds, while the first generation was rated at just 3,500. The increase is mostly attributable to a new eight-speed automatic transmission and beefier rear axle, and it's a welcome update for those who'd like to use their SUV as, well, an SUV with an emphasis on utility.
Consumer Reports says these are the worst new cars of 2014
Thu, 27 Feb 2014Consumer Reports has announced its annual list of worst vehicles, a cringe-inducing contrast to its list of top vehicles. Ignominiously leading the way in 2014 is Chrysler, which has a staggering seven models listed.
Jeep nearly sweeps the small SUV segment by itself, with its Compass, Patriot and 2.4-liter version of the new Cherokee, while the only midsize sedans listed by CR were the Chrysler 200 and Dodge Avenger. The new Dodge Dart and the Dodge Journey round out CR's condemnation of Chrysler.
Ford is taking heat as well, with the Taurus, Edge and their counterparts from Lincoln all listed as the worst vehicles in their respective segments. Toyota doesn't fare much better, with its Lexus IS, Scion iQ and tC also making the list.
