Selling my 03 H2 37" Cooper mud tires on factory chrome wheels. Factory orange color, 185K miles, tan leather seats with only one tear on driver side. No spare tire or third row seat. Bought it a year ago and now would like to buy a car I've always wanted but need to sell this first. Only thing I've done is rotate tires, new air filter, new idler and pitman arm, and changed knock sensors and drove it. Has chrome tow hooks on back. Exceptionally clean inside and out. Heated seats work every now and then. Sometimes they will stay on forever and other times can't keep them on. I think it's a common problem with this year as a friend has an 03 truck with same problem. Can't think of anything else. Only trade I would be interested in is an 85-90 blue IROC Camaro that is pristine or 91-92 blue Z28 that is pristine. Report: Last-ditch sale effort for Hummer post wind-down announcement fading
Tue, 06 Apr 2010It's getting tough for even the most ardent supporters of the Hummer brand to continue to keep hope alive. Reports the aficionados at HummerGuy.net: "While many of us were hoping for a last-minute miracle to save the Hummer brand, signs from Detroit are indicating that Hummer production will soon cease indefinitely."
It appears as if General Motors has resigned itself to winding the brand down and letting it die a slow, agonizing death. The automaker says that it's no longer considering offers for the brand and dedicated Hummer staff are reportedly be assigned to serve elsewhere.
Oh, and about that "Save Hummer" summit that's planned for April 11th near Chicago? GM, though it is aware of the rally, has no plans to send representation. That sound that you hear? That's just the tolling of Hummer's death knell. Thanks for the tip, Brian!
Report: GM temporarily restarts Saturn Outlook, Hummer H3 production

Even though both the Saturn and Hummer brands are being phased out, General Motors has reportedly revived production of both the Outlook crossover and H3 SUV to meet consumer demands.
Last month, GM assembled 1,037 Outlooks at its Lansing, Michigan facility, which is where the crossover's Lamda platform stablemates (Buick Enclave, Chevrolet Traverse and GMC Acadia) are built. A spokesperson for GM states that production was reinstated to utilize the rest of the Saturn-specific material at the facility, and that the automaker will continue to assemble the Outlook for a few more weeks.
Humvee reborn on the battlefield... with a chimney?!
Fri, 09 Dec 2011The military's High Mobility Multipurpose Wheeled Vehicle (HMMWV), better known to most of us as the Humvee, has already served a long and distinguished career in the battlefield, and there have been a number of replacements waiting in the wings to take over where the HMMWV left off. Or, should we say, leaves off... assuming that ever happens.
It seems that the Humvee is set to get a new lease on life as military budget constraints are forcing the government to reconsider its replacement. But there are still some pesky safety issues to work out before American soldiers will feel comfortable inside the confines of the off-road box on wheels.
As you're likely aware, improvised explosive devices are an ever-increasing threat to the lives of American troops serving overseas. The Humvee, which traces its design all the way back to the year 1984 when it first saw duty as a replacement for the long-running series of military Jeeps, has seen a number of incarnations over the years that added armor and improved safety, but the latest version may feature something hitherto unseen: a chimney.
