OH MY!! THIS IS A SHARP TRUCK. THE BEST PART?? NO RESERVE! NONE AT ALL!

****THE LISTING REVERTS TO 4WD AUTOMATICALLY-THIS IS A 2WD.****

I have a great looking 2002 GMC Sierra full size truck. This is your basic truck inside, manual locks and windows, but it does have A/C and a CD player. Outside it is dressed up and ready to go. It has a Fiberglass color matched cover and running boards, and the chrome look wheels. This thing runs and drives great, as it should with only 69,000 original miles. This truck was a trade-in to a local Ford dealer, it was checked over, and it is ready to go. I personally put about 500 miles on it and can tell you that it runs and drives great. Goes down the road smoother than a cadillac, plenty of pep with the 4.3L Vortec engine and 5-speed, and the best part is that I GOT 22 MPG ON THE HIGHWAY!! Thats with a full size truck that can haul all of your stuff. I will describe this vehicle to the best of my ability, but as always please ask if I miss anything.

Lets start with the Interior. This truck is extra clean inside as you can see in the pics, no damage, just normal wear and tear. The seats are in great shape with no stains or damage, that goes for the floors as well. Very clean, looks every bit as good as you would expect for the year and miles. The radio/CD player works great, and has an AUX input for your ipod. Comes with the owners manual and 1 key.

The exterior is very nice. The paint shines, and other than a couple things I will mention in detail, just normal wear and tear. This is a very good looking truck with the topper and running boards. You can also check the autocheck or run a carfax, no accidents! Nice straight truck. No body rust on this one. There are a couple bubbles on the rear bumper that you can see in the picture, other that that, it's clean. I did take pics of a couple areas of possible concern. The tailgate has a decent dent in it, and the top of the bumper got bent a little as well, looks like someone backed up into a garage door or something. Very minor, could be bumped out by a good body shop for a couple hundred max. The bumper dent is pretty much right where the license plate sits, so with a plate on, you can barely see that. The front passenger fender has a small ding(no paint damage) and you can see in the picture that it cracked the running board a bit right under that. For a 2002, I would probably even lump that stuff under normal wear, as its very hard to find a perfect truck of this age, they are made for work after all, but I try my best to let you know about any little thing I can think of.

The mechanical. As I said, this is a great running/ driving truck. There are no issues here. No trouble lights, all gauges work, brakes stop fast and smooth with no typical GM chatter, tires are about 30-40% and ride smooth. The clutch catches nice and low, suggesting it has been replaced as typically at 70k it would be starting to catch pretty high. The transmission shifts smooth. A/C is cold, heat is hot.

So thats it, very nice truck, with LOW ORIGINAL MILES, jump in it and drive anywhere. Any questions? Just ask. NADA VALUE IS 8,125.00 http://www.nadaguides.com/Cars/2002/GMC/Sierra-1500-Pickup-V8/Regular-Cab-SL-2WD/Values BUT IT IS ABSOLUTELY NO RESERVE, BE THE HIGH BIDDER AND GEAT A GREAT DEAL!

A deposit is due within 48 Hours of auction close. Full payment and pickup is due within 7 days. This will be sold with a clean title and bill of sale. Transportation is your responsibility, I will help as much as I can with loading, but other than that, it is up to you.

2014 GMC Sierra [w/video]

Mon, 29 Jul 2013

Big And Boxy Might Be Best
As immense fans of the Back to the Future trilogy, we sometimes like to envision an alternate timeline in which General Motors had killed off GMC and kept Pontiac instead. The G8 GXP would still be on the road handily beating German sport sedans costing twice as much, while the lowly G3 would morph into a true subcompact-killer based on what is now the Chevrolet Sonic RS. While we're at it, let's go ahead and imagine the G6 has become the best-selling car in the US and the Torrent crossover is selling 20,000+ units per month. Far-fetched, we know.
The thing is, these fanciful statements would have to be true to make the case against keeping GMC. Pontiac may have offered more excitement than GMC, but money talks, and a full line of trucks, crossovers and SUVs have made a lot more money for GM than the arrowhead brand ever did. How much? As we learned last month, about two-thirds of GM's global profits came from its fullsize trucks, and GMC's trucks typically have thicker margins than their Chevrolet counterparts.

GM phasing out light-duty 1500-series vans

Mon, 16 Jun 2014

In the market for a fullsize van but don't need a heavy-duty model? You're in the minority, and you're also out of luck. That's because there are barely any more fullsize vans on the market with gross vehicle weight rating of less than 8,500 pounds, the threshold that separates light- and heavy-duty vans.
According to PickupTrucks.com, neither the Ford E-Series, Ram ProMaster, nor Mercedes-Benz Sprinter are available in light-duty versions. Few of the Ford Transit configurations are, either, and now General Motors is discontinuing production of the 1500-series Chevy Express and GMC Savana.
Apparently light-duty versions accounted for just 23 percent of Express sales and only 7 percent of Savanas. Add to that the fact that these 1500 versions were the only ones using the old generation of engines and suspension, and that the Wentzville plant near St. Louis, Missouri, is trying to make room for the next Chevy Colorado and GMC Canyon pickups, and the fate of the light-duty GM van was sealed.

2014 Chevrolet Silverado tows in new configurator, microsite

Mon, 21 Jan 2013

Judging by your continued enthusiastic response to configurator notices, dear reader, you enjoy speccing out new cars as much as we do. Better still, there tends to be even more ways to personalize, configure and bloat theoretical MSRPs on full-size trucks as there are with more ordinary passenger cars. In addition to trim level, engine and transmission choices, truck buyers usually have to specify items like cab configuration, bed length, number of driven axles, tow packages, gear ratios and all sorts of bits and bobs.
That's why we're pleased to see the DIY specification utility for the 2014 Chevrolet Silverado come alive so soon after this week's Detroit Auto Show debut. While the configurator lacks pricing (General Motors hasn't announced numbers yet) and full options, you can still spec out your half-ton rig, and even print it out or email it to your friends. Beyond the configurator, the new model-specific site is pretty cool, too, with various videos and closer looks at the truck's new features.
The new Chevrolet pickup range won't be on dealer lots until sometime this summer, so whether you're a building contractor, an avid sportsman or just a guy or gal that loves full-size trucks, you might want to check out the link below to keep your appetite whetted. If you're more of a Sierra fan, well, it looks like you're going to have to wait a while - GMC hasn't updated its site yet.
