Offered for auction at a very low reserve is an extremely cool vintage Ford pick-up! This truck is actually a 1947 model with an extremely rare 1941 hood and front fenders. After spending most of its life in California and the dry Midwest, this truck began its transformation on the east coast at a well known hot rod shop. The stock suspension has been rebuilt with a front disc brake upgrade and custom rear axle. Under the hood sits a beautiful 350 Chevrolet V-8 with loads of power. Inside the cab, the truck received an all new wiring harness, gauges and custom steering column. The attached custom column shift manages a new 350 Chevrolet transmission. All custom metal work has been completed including removal of the stock gas filler. This truck runs and drives well with a temporary fuel cell and bed mounted battery, and there are plenty of new and original parts that go with the sale to take this Ford in whatever direction you desire. Whether you choose to leave it as is or finish it as a high end street rod, the sky is the limit! Transport is available for a small fee within a reasonable radius. Highlights and standouts from the 2015 LA Auto Show
Thu, Nov 19 2015This year's LA Auto Show has been packed with interesting debuts and fascinating industry trends. The Autoblog team is on the scene to examine all the new metal, and Senior Editor Greg Migliore has some show highlights for us in the video above. In particular, the new Fiat 124 Spider and Honda Civic Coupe stand out as important debuts. The Fiat is based on the excellent Mazda Miata, with a turbocharged 1.4-liter engine and revised styling. The Civic Coupe is a striking redesign of an extremely popular and important model for the company. And the restyled Ford Escape looks more like its bigger brother, the Explorer. Jeremy Clarkson chooses his top 10 cars for 2015 and 2016
Mon, Aug 15 2016Jeremy Clarkson is well-known for his role as co-host on the old Top Gear. But the frontman of the upcoming Amazon Prime Show, The Grand Tour, also has a standing column for The Sunday Times in the UK where he reviews the latest cars. With fall nearing, Clarkson put out a list of his top-10 cars from this year and 2015. Some on the list will surprise you, while others represent everything we've come to love about Clarkson. In order to make his list of star cars, the vehicles must offer what co-host James May calls "the fizz." The vehicles, Clarkson claims, have something that is out of the ordinary. Whether it's the car's looks, the way it gets up to speed, or its high-tech gadgets, Clarkson's top-10 list is made up of items that are more than just tools for getting from point A to B.
