Up for sale is a very nice 1993 Ford Mustang LX 5.0 Convertible. The car has a very nice but not perfect Mystic color paint job which changes colors depending on the light and angle of view. It has a couple of paint chips here and there but nothing major. The interior also has a custom matching Mystic theme on the seats and door panels. Interior was grey but previous owner painted it black. It has a new top with glass rear window. New convertible latches on both sides. I had a new Pioneer CD player with Blu-tooth installed, you can make hands free phone calls and also listen to your music from your phone. All new speakers. New remote alarm. The engine is original and has a cold air intake, headers and exhaust. Engine runs great. Aluminum radiator and new stock fan clutch. AC and heat work great. I had intentions of keeping this car and I purchased $2000.00 worth of suspension parts including Eibach Pro kit plus which includes spings, shocks and anti sway bars. Maximum Motorsport strut tower brace, G load brace and caster chamber plates. BBK subframe connectors and upper and lower Gripp control arms. Energy Suspension front and rear spring isolators. Everthing is brand new and in boxes in my garage. The only thing I installed was the strut tower brace. I had an opportunity to purchase a 2011 GT500 so with the new car the old has to go.
As with any older car there are a few area's of attention needed. The small rear windows could use some new guides and weather stripping and I have the weather stripping. You have to guide the windows into the correct position for the correct seal between front and back window. The cruise control does not work. The black fabric around the rear speakers did not adhere to well and needs to be re-glued. Other then that the tranny shifts fine. The engine has decent power and is fun to drive. Turns heads where ever you go. The under side looks very good and there is no sign of rust anywhere. Rims are in decent shape. All lights work. Local pickup only! $500.00 deposit apon purchase.

Ford starting up 2.0L EcoBoost engine production in Ohio
Fri, 22 Feb 2013Joe Hinrichs, Ford's President of The Americas (pictured above), announced today that in late 2014, the automaker will be building the 2.0-liter EcoBoost four-cylinder at its Cleveland Engine Plant, a move requiring a $200-million investment and the hiring of 450 new employees. European-built Ford products will continue to source this engine from the Valencia, Spain plant where all of these EcoBoost four-cylinder engines are currently built, and the new Cleveland engines will be used for all North American-made models.
Ford is planning to build its popular EcoBoost engines regionally to maximize production capacity and meet customer demand. Last year, Ford sold 334,364 vehicles with EcoBoost engines in the US alone, and that number is expected to swell to more than 500,000 by the end of this year, with global sales expected to total 1.6 million. By 2015, Ford says that 95 percent of its nameplates will offer an EcoBoost engine.
One such vehicle that could be adding an EcoBoost engine, according to Automotive News, is none other than the 2015 Ford Mustang. The report says that Ford could use either the 2.0-liter EcoBoost or an upcoming 2.3-liter EcoBoost in the sixth-generation pony car.
Ken Block rally cars go blue in the face (and everywhere else)
Wed, 23 Jan 2013Well at least we now know why Ken Block "just ain't care" about smashing up his Ford Fiesta rally car recently. It's because he's getting a full brand makeover including a new team name, new paint scheme and even a new headquarters. Formerly known as Monster World Rally Team, Block and his Fiesta will now be competing under the Hoonigan Racing Division name, which is based out of a new 12,000 square foot facility located in Park City, UT.
As you can tell in the image above, Hoonigan Racing will replace the familiar black, white and green paint scheme with a more colorful design featuring plenty of blue, purple and red; the Monster Energy logo retains some of the car's green. The new paint scheme was inspired by Block's love of skateboard graphics from the '80s and early '90s as well as "Miami Vice-era" speedboats.
Block will continue to compete in multiple rally racing series such as Global RallyCross, World Rally Championship and X Games. The new headquarters features office space on one side and a shop for the cars on the other side. The building features plenty of stuff you'd expect from a company designed around Ken Block, including a massive gaming station for racing video games, recycled shipping containers used throughout the facility and a black bear.
Martini Mustang is a 'what if moment' gone right
Wed, 23 Oct 2013Feast your eyes on a masterpiece. This is Steve Strope's Ford Mustang in the classic fastback bodystyle, and as you'll notice, it sports the signature colors of Martini Racing, a livery that's as legendary as any Gulf Racing-styled car. But the red, white and blues of the Martini stripe down this Mustang's middle tell only a very small part of the story, in the latest video from Petrolicious.
What would you guess is under the hood? A 289-cubic-inch V8? Maybe a 302, or some absurd Ford crate engine? Maybe Strope went all Tokyo Drift - he's actually responsible for the "Hammer" Plymouth Satellite driven by Vin Diesel at the end of the movie - and found an RB26DETT to drop into the pony car? You'd be wrong on all counts.
This mad, mad man somehow finagled a Ford-Lotus engine from a 1966 Indianapolis 500 car into the Mustang's engine bay. Yes, a Mustang with an engine designed for a 160-mile-per-hour, open-wheel racecar. That's like someone in 40 years dropping McLaren's 2.4-liter V8 from the MP4-28 into a Scion FR-S. It'd just make a monster.
