1970 Ford Mustang on 2040-cars
Tres Pinos, California, United States
If you have more questions or want more details please email : millicentraugust@gmx.us . I am selling my 1970 Boss 302. It is a real G code Boss 302. It has been for sale several times by different
dealers. I was too busy to sell it my self and had two separate dealers take it on consignment. They all assured me
they could sell it and then proceeded to price it too high (one had it at $86k and the 2nd had it at $77k). I told
them the price was too high but they didn't believe me. It is appraised at $59k. The reason for the lower price on
this beautifully restored Boss is that it does not have the numbers matching engine. It is a correct year Boss 302
engine but not the numbers matching that it came with. The transmission & rear end are the correct numbers matching
items.
A little history on my Boss. I have owned this for four years. It was a "barn find" out of Washington State. The
3rd owner (I am the 4th owner) had the engine rebuilt. Less than a month after the engine was completed, he passed
away. His widow parked the car in their garage and left it there for 7 years. We believe the block was swapped with
the current block when it was rebuilt. Unfortunately the wife does not know and the shop that did the rebuild is
not sure. The engine runs very strong and it is a joy to drive. It has been driven aprx 1,500 miles since rebuilt.
When I received the car the wife, it was rough and typical shape for a car that has sat for 7 years. The interior
was in need of restoration, the clutch needed replacement and the repaint by a previous owner was not correct and
flaking off. We took it down to bare metal and repainted it to the high gloss it now has. All original decals were
replaced and the bumpers & trim was all repaired and re-chromed.
The distributor was updated to electronic ignition. Original factory power steering was added. A non-functioning
rev-limiter was installed. The shaker hood was added by a previous owner. The original radio was updated to a new
radio that has the look of an older radio but has newer features including Ipod input.
It is an amazing car that is what I would call a higher end driver, that will provide years of fun for the new
owner. Every time I drive it, it draws a crowd. It has been entered into 3 car shows and won 4 trophies, including
the San Diego Mustangs by the Bay show where there was several hundred Mustangs entered.
It is time for me to move on

Ford Mustang EcoBoost has fake engine soundtrack
Wed, 24 Sep 2014The 2015 Ford Mustang EcoBoost represents a huge change for the Blue Oval as the first pony car in decades to be available with a four-cylinder engine. But a recent tweet (below) from Road & Track raised our curiosity about the new vehicle. Editor Jason Cammisa pulled a fuse while driving the latest 'Stang with the 2.3-liter EcoBoost engine, and he found that both the stereo and engine went quiet in the cabin. That indicated the coupe might have some form of artificial engine sound being piped in - a feature not previously heavily reported for the model. Autoblog spoke with Ford engineer Shawn Carney who confirmed that only the turbocharged four-cylinder Mustang comes with this system, called Active Noise Control.

More evidence GT500-replacement will be named GT350
Tue, 17 Dec 2013During the recent unveiling of the 2015 Ford Mustang, we saw the car in both V6 and GT form, but we'll have to wait a little bit longer to see the successor to the Shelby GT500. In the meantime, though, it looks like SVTPerformance.com has confirmed reports that this high-performance model will bring the Shelby GT350 name back to Ford.
According to the forum post, a user found the Shelby GT350 name on a Ford promo website listing its 2015 lineup. The Shelby GT350 name was first used on a Mustang back in 1965, and most recently it has been a model created for customers as a post-title purchase by Shelby American. As for that car, Shelby confirmed earlier in the year that its GT350 would be phased out at the end of this month.
The million-dollar question for Mustang and Shelby enthusiasts is when we'll see next factory Shelby GT350. Last we heard it was planned for a debut at the New York Auto Show. We've included our previous spy shots of this hi-po, sixth-gen Mustang, and we've also captured it on spy video showing off its exhaust note.
