Up for sale is my 2004 svt focus 2dr with 125,000 miles. I bought it from a girl who bought the car in 2011, and got it bone stock other than exhaust. It has the audiophile system that works perfect. As you can see from the autocheck, I havent had the car very long. I absolutely love it, but I recently got a raise and will be driving into the city every day so I want a more comfy, newer DD. so anyways, Someone at some point changed out the center muffler with a glass pack so it is a bit louder than stock. When I bought the car it had a valve cover leak and it had alot of vibrations in the car. So I replaced the valve cover and gaskets, did a tune up and replaced the motor mounts at this time. Afterwords, I noticed that the thermostat housing was leaking so I replaced it with CFM's upgraded housing and oem tstat. Coolant and oil were done at this time. Shortly after I went ahead and replace the suspension with Apex springs, kyb struts, and also replaced the inner and outer tie rods. During the lowering install, I noticed that the passenger side CV shaft was ripped so I replaced it with a cardone A1 rebuilt unit. That was done a week later and as soon as I replaced it I noticed a vibration during acceleration occasionally. Might be caused by the lowering kit not sure. I was going to replace it with a OEM one but never got around to it. Right after the suspension work, I had new tires and alignment performed. I noticed last week that the d/s rear control arm has a worn bushing, will need to be replaced at some point. Im being up front about everything so there wont be any surprises at the time of purchase. I sold my svt contour on here and the guy who bought it was very happy with it. The car is a really clean, solid svt focus. Just needs a few small things to be 100%.. I drive it 500 miles per week, so its a reliable daily. Any clarification or if you want to talk about the car my cell is 703-269-8076.

A closer look at the 2015 Ford F-150

Thu, 16 Jan 2014

Despite having to share Ford's Detroit Auto Show stand with the hot new 2015 Mustang, the brand-new F-150 was arguably an even more important debut. Why? Ford moved some 700,000 examples of its F-Series truck in 2012, making it not only the best-selling pickup truck, but the top-selling vehicle in the US, by a long-shot.
The 2015 F-150 raises the bar for pickup trucks in a big way, with big-time use of aluminum. Because of this, roughly 700 pounds have been removed from the truck's overall weight, making it even more efficient than before, while still offering all of the capability that pickup owners expect. And with a host of engines under the hood, including a new 2.7-liter EcoBoost V6, the 2015 F-150 will surely offer something for everyone.
During the Detroit Auto Show, west coast editor Michael Harley took a closer look at the new F-150, talking to some of the truck's engineers. Have a look at the full video, below.

2015 Ford C-Max gets a corporate nose job [w/video]

Thu, 02 Oct 2014

Ford might not have the splashiest booth here at the 2014 Paris Motor Show, but the automaker is showing off quite a bit of hardware that will actually end up on roads across Europe. Parisians are no doubt tickled at getting to see the specifications of the Mustang tuned for The Continent (which has a revised suspension for European roads, and a few visual nips and tucks), in addition to the revised face of the family-friendly C-Max.
As you can see, C-Max styling has been revisited with a deft touch, grafting Ford's six-sided corporate grille on the nose, in place of the outgoing car's two-part affair. New headlights can also be found on the car's revised front fascia, though the rear end of the C-Max looks only slightly different than the current version.
Inside the cabin, Ford has consolidated controls and upped the ante in terms of material quality, with "black satin" and chrome details and more storage capacity, overall. Grocery-lugging moms and dads everywhere should appreciate the hands-free liftgate feature, as well.

Automakers tussle over owners of 'orphan' makes

Thu, 10 May 2012

When General Motors put down several of its brands in recent years, it also let loose thousands of brand-loyal customers who will eventually need another car.
R.L. Polk Associates estimates there are more than 18 million cars from 16 discontinued makes on the road today. Those "orphan owners" have sales-hungry competitors seeing dollar signs. GM is offering Saturn owners $1,000 cash toward a Chevy Cruze, Cadillac CTS or a GMC Acadia. Ford is giving its Mercury lease customers a chance to get out of their contracts with no early-termination penalty and offering to waive six remaining payments if they drive off in a Ford or Lincoln.
Edmunds.com research shows the efforts are paying off somewhat for GM, with 39 percent of Pontiac owners, 37 percent of Hummer owners and 31 percent of Saturn owners taking delivery of another GM-branded vehicle. But that leaves as much as 69 percent of owners going elsewhere. Ford, Honda and Toyota seem to be attracting many former GM owners.
