1960 Mercury Frontenac / Ford Falcon 2 Dr on 2040-cars

Year:1960 Mileage:68000
Location:

Kanata, Ontario, Canada

Kanata, Ontario, Canada

She might look a bit rough - but no surprises ! Needs rear 1/4s and front floor pans. All avail repop for small money.

The car is a 1960 Mercury Frontenac 2 door - an extremely rare Canadian sister car to the American Ford Falcon. Identical in every way except Frontenac trim (most of which is NOT included in this sale - I will include a Frontenac hood script  and decklid script and rear fender spears - 3 per side)

The car has been PROPERLY disassembled, bagged and tagged. Everything is there and included (except Frontenac trim as noted, air filter cover).

Glass is good. Stainless good (drip rails need polishing but are restorable). Has Deluxe stainless trim...which is included.

Was running driving car when bought, prior to disassembly in 2013.

I have another project on the go - something has to move along as I am short on storage space.

This is the early car with 4 lug wheels.

So - restore as a Frontenac or Falcon - up to you.

Priced to move right along.

I do not Paypal.

$500 non-refundable deposit holds for 21 days.

The blue example included in photos is just to give an idea of how would look restored. Up to you. Some folks like to use these to pro-street or for gassers.

More pics on request.

Ford picks Fiesta ST, Transit Connect as this year's SEMA darlings

Sat, 02 Feb 2013

SEMA is more than nine months away, but the reveille bugle for the show has just sounded with Ford's call to aftermarket companies for its project-vehicle program. The 2014 Ford Fiesta ST and 2014 Transit Connect van and wagon are the cars The Blue Oval wants to feature, but applicants can submit project vehicles for any product except the GT500, the Raptor, or anything from Lincoln.
Submissions must be completed in two parts, the first being an email to Ford with an overview of the project, like vehicle theme, promotional plan and location display. The second part must be mailed in on company letterhead and gets down to the nuts and bolts of the vision and the provision of company bona fides. The complete proposal is due on March 1, winners will be notified by May 1. Click the link below to get all the details, and for show attendees, get ready to see some funky Fiestas and wild shaggin' wagons in Las Vegas come November.

Roush getting back into sport compact business with Focus ST mods [w/video]

Wed, 29 May 2013

Roush Performance offers a whole raft of parts for folks looking to tune their Ford Mustang and F-150 models, and now Focus owners can start getting in on the hotted-up action, too. Owners of the 2012-13 Focus and 2013 Focus ST can now get a Roush cold-air intake system, and ST owners can also opt for a high-performance cat-back exhaust.
Although all of these components are now available for order, the parts will ship sometime in July; no word yet on pricing. Down the road, Roush will also offer styling upgrades for the Focus as well as performance tuning upgrades such as engine controller, suspension, wheels and tires. Scroll down for a quick video of what the Focus ST exhaust sounds like, as well as a Roush press release.

Rolling footage of the 2015 Ford Mustang hits YouTube [w/video]

Thu, 26 Dec 2013

Just in time for the holidays: Ford took the 2015 Mustang to Route 66 to cook up rolling footage, and we've been given some of the leftovers ahead of the meal. There are no burnouts, no donuts, no revving, and thankfully, no music. It's just two minutes and 26 seconds of the new pony car running free in the desert.
So in case you needed more visualizing help, the video below will help you start imagining how you'll look in your 2014 Christmas present to yourself...
