Apache Junction, Arizona, United States

1967 Ford Fairlane500. This beautiful Fairlane was in the middle of a complete, no expense spared re-build. Unfortunately the owner passed away so the family will be selling the car. This Fairlane started out as a true rust free car. Every piece of  sheet metal, including the floors and trunk, are original and rust free. All the body work is already complete and the car has been painted a beautiful light green metallic. All the glass is there including a new windshield with all weather stripping. Every molding and piece of chrome is included.

The interior is also completely new. The factory bucket seats and back seat were re-upholstered, the dash has been recovered, and the car has new door panels. A Vintage Air Conditioning system is already installed and the installation of the new Painless wiring kit is started.

The suspension consists of a brand new weld in subframe with tubular control arm, rack and pinion steering, disk brakes, and coil over shocks.

Now for the most important part . This Fairlane has a brand new 560 horse Roush 427 IR crate motor. Instead of using a carburetor, this motor is set up with an 8 stack fuel injection system. The motor comes complete with all accessories, and stand -alone computer. A brand new gas tank is also included, but will need to be plumbed for the fuel injection.

As I said before , no expense was spared. The owner was building this for himself , and doing it right. All the parts are there, they just need to be put together. The only thing missing is the transmission ( set up for a 5-speed) and wheels and tires. Roush getting back into sport compact business with Focus ST mods [w/video]

Wed, 29 May 2013

Roush Performance offers a whole raft of parts for folks looking to tune their Ford Mustang and F-150 models, and now Focus owners can start getting in on the hotted-up action, too. Owners of the 2012-13 Focus and 2013 Focus ST can now get a Roush cold-air intake system, and ST owners can also opt for a high-performance cat-back exhaust.
Although all of these components are now available for order, the parts will ship sometime in July; no word yet on pricing. Down the road, Roush will also offer styling upgrades for the Focus as well as performance tuning upgrades such as engine controller, suspension, wheels and tires. Scroll down for a quick video of what the Focus ST exhaust sounds like, as well as a Roush press release.

2015 Ford Mustang GT road test ride-along

Wed, 24 Sep 2014

You've no doubt already pored over our first drive of the 2015 Ford Mustang, where author Jonathon Ramsey proclaimed that "this new car shames the old, redefines the model and gallops far ahead of anything else in the segment." And following Ramsey's first stint behind the wheel of Ford's new coupe, we sent him back out with another 'Stang to capture some of these same impressions over a backdrop of the car moving quickly along gorgeous California canyon roads.
But this also gave our author and editors time to read through the hundreds of comments left on that original Mustang review. You readers are indeed a vocal bunch, and one particular comment about how the automotive media is so willing to bash an outgoing car as soon as the new one arrives really caught our attention. In this video, Ramsey stands by his written text, saying the new Mustang is "massively better than the one it replaces," and in doing so, addresses your comments while providing more insight into just how good the Ford truly is.
We won't spoil the rest for you. Check out the feature video above, and as always, leave us your thoughts in the Comments section below.

Ford Fiesta ST gets worked out on the track

Sun, 10 Mar 2013

We're big fans of the turbocharged Ford Focus ST, and we're plenty excited that the Blue Oval will be offering a similar treatment on the smaller Fiesta here in the United States, too. We first saw the production-ready Fiesta ST five-door at the Los Angeles Auto Show last fall, and Ford has now released this video of a Euro-spec three-door ST being flung around the track.
But not just any track - the challenging Track 7 of Ford's Lommel Proving Grounds in Belgium. The course features 20 turns and plenty of elevation changes along its 2.7-mile loop, and David Put, a vehicle dynamic specialist at Ford, shows just how good the pint-sized Fiesta ST is at handling the lot, even getting the smallest ST up on three wheels every now and then.
It sure does look like a lot of fun, and makes us really eager for our chance to try this ourselves. Scroll down to see the hot little Ford getting busy.
