Up for sale is my 1974 Ford Bronco project.  I bought this car to restore and took it to a paint shop that completely messed up the paint.  I am not happy with it and I lost interest- so my loss is your gain.  So please note- it needs paint.

The vehicle is mostly original.  Some interior and parts were removed for paint but I have everything for this vehicle and will attach and will be with car for shipping.

The truck has 104k miles, the motor turns over nicely and has compression but I didn't start it because I didn't want to run old gas through the motor.  It was running and drove to where it was parked before sitting.  Again, this is a very complete vehicle.

About the body:

The body has usual Bronco issues which means it needs new front floor pans/repairs and inside the cab between the tailgate and the wheel wells.  Other than that- the body is very savable and solid.  ALl the glass is good and no cracks etc.

The motor:

The engine is its original 302 V8 5.0L with a manual 3 speed transmission and of course 4x4.

Chassis:

Underneath is typical NE car but the frame is solid and seems fairly dry.  The frame and suspension is NOT rotted out and if you are making a driver out of this I would keep as is.  Of course since the truck was sitting for a couple years all brake systems etc should be gone through.

Interior:

The dash is in good shape and really solid.  I have an extra dashpad with it in very excellent shape.  The seats are VERY nice, need cleaning but in good shape other than the drivers seat that has a few rips but otherwise in solid shape.  The top is pretty good.  I would just respray white.

This truck is very worth finishing- I just got so disgusted with the paint shop that I had to quit working on it.  I am willing to take offers on it and to pass it to someone who wants an entry-level bronco at a good price.  If you are looking at this car you know what these trucks are worth.

Please call text or ebay me to make a deal.  PLEASE LOOK AT PHOTOS AND ASK ANY QUESTIONS BEFORE MAKING AN OFFER!! Im ready to let it go - my loss is your gain 857-210-7805

PickupTrucks.com's latest test results in a familiar winner [w/video]

Wed, 19 Jun 2013

PickupTrucks.com has gone and thrown the latest batch of half-ton pickups into a cage match to see who would come out on top. The site put the 2014 Chevrolet Silverado 1500, GMC Sierra 1500, 2013 Ford F-150, Ram 1500, Toyota Tundra and Nissan Titan through a battery of tests. Those included 0-60 miles per hour acceleration, 60-0 mph deceleration, fuel economy, a hill climb, and payload and towing. They even threw the rigs on an autocross course to evaluate overall handling. Each truck was given points based on how it scored in each evaluation.
Who came out on top? Somewhat surprisingly, the 2013 Ford F-150 walked away with the gold, though fewer than 50 points separated first and fourth place. Head over to PickupTrucks.com to read the full evaluation and the final results. You may be shocked to see exactly where some of the segment's newest additions placed. You can also watch a video on the test below.

Ford builds Lightweight Concept with Fusion shell [w/video]

Wed, 04 Jun 2014

It's a fairly well known fact that removing weight from a car is essentially a panacea for many of the modern automobiles problems. Does it handle like crap? Remove weight. Underpowered? Don't add power; trim the fat. Need to improve fuel economy? It's diet time.
Actually executing a major weight reduction program, though, much like with human beings, is no easy task. Unlike you or I, where motivation is the issue, the prohibitive measure in trimming a car's waistline is money. Lightweight materials are expensive, with carbon fiber and carbon-fiber reinforced plastic still primarily in the domain of higher end vehicles. Even aluminum construction, pioneered on a mass-produced level by Audi and Jaguar, is only now starting to make its way into the mainstream, thanks to the upcoming Ford F-150.
With this concept, though, Ford is attempting to show that a mass-produced, lightweight vehicle isn't too far off. This is the Lightweight Concept, and while it may look like a Fusion, it weighs as much as a Fiesta. For reference, the lightest Fusion available to the public is the 3,323-pound, 2.5-liter model with a manual transmission. A manually equipped, 1.6-liter Fiesta, meanwhile, is just 2,537 pounds.

Toyota tops Kelley Blue Book's Resale Value Awards

Tue, 27 Nov 2012

Kelley Blue Book announced its annual Best Resale Value Award winners, and we weren't too surprised to see the list dominated by Japanese automakers - mainly Toyota and Honda. KBB hands out the awards based on the projected residual value of mostly all 2013 model year vehicles, and Toyota skated home with a number of awards including 10 of the 22 overall categories and having five of its products in the top 10 for models with best resale value. KBB's Best Resale Value Awards were announced in the same week as the ALG Residual Value Awards, and there were many similarities between both lists, especially when it came to Toyota.
To come up with its winners, KBB measures depreciation over the first five years of ownership, and looks for the cars it expects to hold its value the best after this time; on average, the report says the 2013 model year vehicles will lose 61.8 percent of its value in five years. Of the 22 categories, 15 slots were filled by Toyota, Honda and Nissan products, while the Camaro and Porsche (Cayenne and Panamera) each took home a pair of awards. If Toyota has anything to be upset about in this list of cars, it's that categories for Hybrid/Alternative Energy Car and Electric Vehicle went to the Ford Fusion and Chevrolet Volt, respectively.
The overall top 10 models for the best resale value in 2013 are, in alphabetical order:
