I AM THE ORIGINAL NON-SMOKING OWNER OF THIS 2013 BOSS 302 LAGUNA SECA MUSTANG PRODUCTION #LS 240.  THE CAR HAS LESS THAN 2800 MILES, STORED DURING  THE WINTER IN MY HEATED GARAGE AND HAS NOT HAD ANY DAMAGE DONE TO IT. ALL THE THINGS THIS CAR WAS BUILT TO DO RELIABLY I HAVE NEVER DONE, IT HAS NEVER BEEN ON A RACE TRACK, NEVER DONE A BURN OUT OR NEVER EVEN POWER SHIFTED.  THE MILES I PUT ON IT HAS BEEN MAINLY TO CAR SHOWS OR JUST A NICE DAYS DRIVE.  OIL CHANGE WAS WITH MY LOCAL DEALER WITH FORD MOTORCRAFT SYNTHETIC OIL AS SPECIFIED.  THE FORD RACING TRACK APP HAS BEEN INSTALLED AND ACTIVATED, THE BRAKE COOLING KIT INSTALLED, THE FRONT ADJUSTABLE SPLITTER DESIGNED TO PUT DOWN 90 POUNDS OF DOWN FORCE AT 120 MPH IS STILL NEW IN THE BOX.  THE CAR IS ALL ORIGINAL WITH THE EXCEPTION OF 2 ITEMS, (#1) I REPLACED THE ORIGINAL TRACK TIRES RIGHT AFTER DELIVERY WITH CONTINENTAL EXTREMES THAT ARE SAFER TO DRIVE ON WHEN THE TEMPERATURE GOES BELOW 40 DEGREES. (#2) THE BOSS COMES WITH SIDE EXAUST AS WELL AS REAR EXHAUST, THE SIDE EXHAUST PIPES ARE BAFFLED, I REPLACED THE BAFFLES WITH A PAIR OF QTP REMOTE CONTROLLED BAFFLES, THERE ARE TIMES WHEN A GUY OR GAL JUST WANTS TO HEAR A CARS EXHAUST NOTE RATHER THAN THE RADIO. THE CAR COMES WITH THE BAFFLES, ORIGINAL SET OF TIRES, BOSS 302 CAR COVER, WINDOW STICKER, FRONT SPLITTER AND ALL ELSE THAT CAME WITH IT.  IT IS A FUN CAR TO DRIVE, BUILT FOR THE TRACK AND WITH ONLY A 2 YEAR LIMITED RUN SHOULD BE A COLLECTABLE THAT YOU DON'T RUN INTO EVERY DAY. $500.00 DEPOSIT WITHIN 5 WORKING DAYS, PAYMENT BY MONEY ORDER OR WIRE TRANSFER, BUYER MUST MAKE YOUR OWN ARRANGEMENTS FOR DELIVERY .   THANKS STEVE

Ford reports 58% drop in Q2 profits on European losses

Wed, 25 Jul 2012

Ford Motor Company announced Wednesday that it has posted a $1 billion profit for the second quarter of 2012. That sounds like good news for the Blue Oval, until you take into account that Ford posted a $2.4 billion profit for Q2 a year ago. That is a substantial 58 percent loss.
Ford also posted $465 million in international losses, with $404 million of those losses coming directly from Europe. The automaker also increased its European loss projections to $1 billion for 2012, due in large part to the economic crisis overseas, which has resulted in increased unemployment and decreased consumer confidence.

2014 Holman & Moody 50th Anniversary TdF Ford Mustang

Mon, 01 Jul 2013

If you're a fan of Ford racing history, a Mustang worshiper or even just an avid follower of our yearly SEMA coverage, you may have heard the back story on the Race Red Mustang you see above. Back in 1964, Holman & Moody was tapped by the English Alan Mann Racing Team to race-prep three Mustangs for competition in the incredibly arduous 4,000-mile Tour de France Automobile rally. Competing mainly against Jaguar MkII saloons over 10 days and 17 stages, the H&M Mustangs took the top two places in the Touring class and the first-ever racing win for Ford's pony car.
Though the history of that first Mustang win hasn't been incredibly well known here in the States, the subsequent decades have seen plenty of racy versions of the car come and go. Last year at the SEMA show, we covered the brief debut of this living tribute to that piece of racing lore, the Holman & Moody 50th Anniversary TdF Mustang.
This limited-edition Mustang represents a kind of new venture for H&M, as the legendary racing shop has spent the last few decades earning its keep largely by restoring vintage racing cars. The urge to get back into the world of Ford and Mustang was powerful, however, what with the car's 50th anniversary looming and the current generation of 'Stang just about out the door.

Project Ugly Horse: Part V

The Slippery Slope
I've had a healthy appreciation for cars that stop since one truly unfortunate incident with a runaway 1971 Lincoln Continental.
It's funny how quickly a party can turn from, "We're all having blast" to "What happened to the front of the house, and how many stitches do you think this is going to take?" Standing in a Mustang salvage shop in Kodak, Tennessee, I couldn't help but feel I had strayed into the latter territory with Ugly Horse. There was a supercharged 5.4-liter V8 plucked from a rear-ended Cobra sitting off to my left. The shelves were lined with second-hand Roush and SVT components galore, but I couldn't stop staring at a set of rotors with the approximate diameter of my chest.
