Selling my 1968 Dodge Dart. This is a GREAT car! Very awesome muscle car, super fun with a great look.
Boulevard black hot rod flatz paint job with a rear red racing stripe!

Engine and Exhaust
Equipped with a '70 block 318 V8 (pre smog set up) with an edelbrock performer intake manifold and a edelbrock 1405 600cfm 4 barrel carburetor, going out to long tube Heddman Headers connected to dual glasspak mufflers for that old school sound.

New valve covers, Edlebrach Air cleaner, PCV, lines, hoses and the electrical was cleaned up.

We put a brand new alternator and battery in it, still under warranty.

Transmission
It has the famous Mopar A-883 4-speed transmission, great strong tranny here with a hurst shifter shifts great!

Rear End
The rear end is 8 1/4 3.55 sure grip, good streetable gear ratio, keeps your RPMs just under 3,000 while doing about 75 on the freeway, and with the sure grip your leaving 2 tire marks for your burnouts and doing some great donuts, no peg leg here!

Brakes and Suspension
Front end of car was upgraded with the better suspension, k-member and DISC brakes of a 1973 Plymouth Duster. Giving you better handling, better braking, better k-member for V8s. Also has smooth feeling manual steering box out of the 73 Duster with the 73 steering column to go to the matching box. Drives great feels like power steering, won't even notice it's manual steering. All suspension was redone with the PST front end suspension kits and Moog.

We put in new Monroe Mono Matix Shocks also, still under warranty.

Has all new brake system, calipers, master cylinder, lines, etc...
Rear end drum brakes were rebuilt and differential was gone through, the rear end is also out of a 73 Duster.

Interior
Cool comfortable front buckets seats with head rest, new headliner, new carpet, no rust.

New Mounted Tachometer, new electrical temp gauge and gas gauge (gives you good accurate readings) this car stays COOL!!! Never had an issue with this car overheating, not once!! Stays at a solid 160-170, NEVER MORE! Interior is decent, doesn't really look bad, could use a LITTLE love, but for a daily driver it's perfectly fine!

Runs and drives great!! I'm estimating about 300 Hp from this 318. My favorite thing about this car is it starts up by the turn of a key after it's morning warm up. Just like a modern car, no gas pumping or holding, priming the carb with fuel, just simple turn the key and on.

We put in new weatherstripping on the doors and trunk area so it's fairly quite inside for a muscle car.

Tires
The car has brand new tires still under warranty, less than 200 miles on them. We put brand new rims on it also which match nicely with the paint job.

This car was completely gone through front to back, so much of this car is brand new!

What I think needs work
If your looking for a show car, this probably isn't it, but would be a great starter for one. It need some work on the interior there are a few seat rips in the back and on the shoulders. The door panels are in fair shape.
The interior paint could use touching up and the console panels need help. The heater is in it, but not hooked up (no heater core) and the radio is not hooked up. It still has the original factory stock AM radio.

This is a great car. It turns heads and would make an excellent project car for someone looking to finish it, turn it into a real racer or just have fun using it as a daily driver.

2014 Challenger R/T Shaker, Mopar '14 Challenger bring back iconic hood

Tue, 05 Nov 2013

Enamored of the Dodge Challenger but wish you could get one with a shaker hood? We've got good news, because Dodge and Mopar have teamed up to bring it back.
The 2014 Dodge Challenger R/T Shaker packs the same 5.7-liter Hemi V8 as the standard Challenger R/T, but upgrades the business end with a through-the-hood exposed cold-air intake system. The retro hood scoop protrudes from the center of the hood in satin black (matching the decklid spoiler) to feed the Hemi and shakes with the engine just like the original from 1970. The Shaker model also comes with a Super Track Pak that adds a new steering rack, brake linings, shocks and 20-inch Goodyear Eagle F1 Super Car rubber. You can also shut off the stability management system completely in this car. A series of interior and exterior trim enhancements round out the look. The whole package adds $2,500 to the price of a Challenger R/T Classic for an all-in MSRP of $36,995.
In case that's not enough, Dodge is also offering a limited-edition Mopar Challenger that follows the 2010 Mopar Challenger, 2011 Mopar Charger, 2012 Mopar 300 and 2013 Mopar Dart. Limited to just 100 examples, the 2014 Mopar Challenger gets the same Shaker hood intake, unique graphics and wheels, an enhanced interior and a long list of optional extras from the Mopar parts catalog. Dodge isn't saying just yet how much the Mopar Challenger will cost, but you can bet it will command a considerable premium for the exclusivity alone.

NHTSA closes investigation on 4.7M FCA power modules, no recall

Thu, Jul 30 2015

FCA US hasn't had the best time with recalls as of late. Not only did the company recently agree to greater safety oversight and paid $105 million to the government, that came just days after hacking fears prompted a 1.4-million model recall campaign. However, a recent decision to close an investigation by the National Highway Traffic Safety Administration means that the automaker doesn't have to worry about another major recall possibly affecting 4.7 million vehicles, according to the agency's report (as a PDF). Last September, the Center for Auto Safety petitioned NHTSA to investigate an alleged problem with the totally integrated power module (TIPM) on these FCA US models. The group claimed that a fault with the component could cause a variety of maladies, including stalls, not starting, catching fire, unintended acceleration, and airbag non-deployment. At the time, it also submitted 70 cases where this had reportedly happened. According to NHTSA, "no valid evidence was presented in support of claims related to airbag non-deployment, unintended acceleration, or fire resulting from TIPM faults and these claims were found to be wholly without merit based on review of the field data and design of the relevant systems and components." The agency did find signs of an issue with the fuel pump relay in some Jeep Grand Cherokees and Dodge Durangos, but FCA US issued recalls for the problem in September 2014 and February 2015. Without anything else to go on, the Feds don't think it's worth investigating this topic any more.

Dodge Challenger SRT Hellcat vs. Chevrolet Camaro ZL1 in latest Head 2 Head

Fri, Jan 30 2015

"Olympian" is one of the terms we use to signify the greatest height, the seat of the gods. Yet Mt. Olympus is the second-highest peak in the Balkans ranges, overshadowed by the crest at Musala in Bulgaria's Rila mountains. Both great heights, but one is a little higher. That's how we get the Olympian Chevy Camaro ZL1 pitched at the Musalic Dodge Challenger SRT Hellcat in Motor Trend's latest episode of Head 2 Head. The side-by-side spec sheet is filled with farcical numbers. For the ZL1, that's a 6.2-liter V8 with 580 horsepower, 556 pound-feet of torque, a 4,051-pound curb weight, 0-to-60 miles per hour in 3.9 seconds, a quarter-mile time of 12.2 seconds and a base price of just $57,800. Opposing that, the Hellcat wrings out its 6.2-liter V8 for 707 hp, 650 lb-ft of torque, weighs 4,449 pounds, does the quarter in 11.7 seconds and has a base price of just $60,990. Except in the case of the Hellcat, when Motor Trend put it on the dyno the machine spit out a reading of 672 hp and 606 lb-ft at the wheels. If there's a 10-percent driveline loss through those beefed-up internals and heavy-duty eight-speed transmission, that means the Hellcat is actually rated at about 750 horsepower and 700 lb-ft. But once they get put on a closed-off strip of coast road in Northern California, there are only a few strands of hair between their respective performances. That's not the case for they sensations provide; host Jonny Lieberman calls one of them, "One of the most incredible cars ever made," and says, "It changes everything." Watch the video above to see who got the verdict and how. Related Video:
