I am selling my 1965 Dodge Coronet. I bought this car in 2005 from my uncle. He bought the car in 1986 from the original owner and restored it. The car was an original 318 car. I stroked a 440 in 2006, this is the current motor in the car. This car was professionally painted in 1988, but is still in great shape. The paint has a few blemishes, but very few. This is one of the straightest 1965 models you will see regardless of the make. The car has it's own garage and is always garaged. The interior in this car is all original with the exception of the seat covers - they were reupholstered in 2006. The only reason for reupholstery was due to the seams coming apart on the round edges of the front seats. The dash, carpet, headliner and all the chrome is original and from this car. I have listed some details about the car below along with some of the work I have done to it since I have owned the car.
- Front end bushing, shocks and new brake cylinders
- Stroked 440
- TCI Transmission is a Super Street Fighter reverse valve body, manual shift
- 3000 TCI Stall
- Be Cool radiator with dual electric fans
- Edelbrock aluminum heads (performer, RPM, 88cc
- Elelbrock performer intake
- Crane hydraulic cam 545 lift

- Front and back bumper re-chromed in 2005
- X pipe with Flowmaster mufflers 3" exhaust from rear axle back
- New pumpkin head in 2006 489 casing (3.73 Posi)
- I have all the documentation and receipts for all the work
- Wiring is original
- Battery is now in the trunk of the car
- I have fuel kit with pump, mounting assemblies, braided hoses that comes with the car
- Breaks are original, drum all 4 wheels

Dodge Dart falls short of Consumer Reports Recommended, Caddy XTS and Lincoln MKS, too
Thu, 22 Nov 2012The Dodge Dart, Cadillac XTS and Lincoln MKS all failed to earn a "Recommended" rating from Consumer Reports. When it came to the compact Dart, the organization's testers thought the vehicle offered a quiet cabin, solid-feeling chassis and nimble suspension, but the new model ultimately fell short of the coveted rating due to powertrain issues. The institute's reviewers found the base 2.0-liter four-cylinder engine to be underpowered and noted "drivability issues" when the available turbocharged 1.4-liter four was paired with the optional dual-clutch transmission (some of our editors disliked it paired with the six-speed manual). CR also dinged the latter powerplant for sounding "raspy." For what it's worth, we think the forced-induction engine offers an excellent and playful exhaust note, but that's just us.
As for the XTS, CR lauded the car for its luxurious cabin, but the vehicle's experience was dulled by its finicky CUE infotainment interface. Overall, the big Cadillac scored much higher than its cross-town rival from Lincoln. While testers found the American luxury sedan to offer a quiet ride and quality fit and finish, they felt the MKS delivered a "cramped driving position, ungainly handling, uncomposed ride, and limited visibility." Ouch. At the end of the day, both cars fell short of rivals from Japan, Germany and Korea. Check out the full press release below with more details, along with CR's musings on the Chevrolet Spark and Lexus ES.
These cars are headed to the Great Crusher In The Sky
Fri, 24 Aug 2012It happens every year. We bid adieu to some cars and trucks that will be missed, and say good riddance to others wondering how they stayed around so long. Whether they're being killed off for slow sales or due to a new product coming along to replace them, the list of vehicles being discontinued after 2012 is surprisingly long and diverse.
CNN Money has compiled a list of departing vehicles, to which we've added a few more of our own. In the slow sales column, cars like the Lexus HS 250h, Mercedes-Benz R-Class and the full Maybach lineup appear, while the Ford Escape Hybrid, Mazda CX-7 and Hyundai Veracruz are all having their gaps filled with more modern and more fuel-efficient alternatives. Obvious exceptions to the rule include models that still sell in decent numbers like the Jeep Liberty and the Chrysler Town & Country (which will eventually be replaced by a crossover-like vehicle).
Check out our gallery of discontinued cars above, then scroll down for more information.
Mopar '14 teased, returns to Challenger
Wed, 16 Oct 2013Every year, Mopar selects one special vehicle from the Chrysler portfolio and creates its own, one-off, special edition. Previously, there was the Mopar '13 Dart, '12 300, '11 Charger and the '10 Challenger, and for 2014, this teaser image shows that the company will be giving the unique treatment to Dodge's muscle coupe yet again.
Mopar has not revealed any details about its '14 Challenger, though the brand's president and CEO, Pietro Gorlier, says that "This limited-edition ride is for muscle-car fans who love high octane and customizable performance." All we know is, it's white, has some blue stripes, and a black (or carbon fiber) rear spoiler.
We'll know more when the Mopar '14 Challenger is revealed at the SEMA show in early November. In the meantime, click the image above to check out the teaser in high resolution, and have a look below for Chrysler's official press blast.
