You are buying a 1979 Chevrolet Suburban 3/4 ton 4x4. This truck used to be close to a show truck. I have owned it about 20 years. Needs body work, interior work and paint is for the most part shot. Truck has been sitting since 2005. I have started it a couple times a year but hasn't been in awhile. Motor is a 400 stroked down to a 383 cubic inch. This motor has less than 3,000 miles on it. Invested $4500.00 in the motor and $1500.00 in the transmission in 2004. Hard to say how many miles the body and frame have on it. The motor is the 3rd one as is the tranny. This truck is a great project, a real head turner or if you are building a rod here is a good strong 425 HP Motor and fresh tranny. The truck has a bad ground somewhere . Engine starts and runs strong with the alternator unplugged. If you plug the alternator in, it squeals and pulls the motor down. I had always hoped to get the truck back on the road but I just don't think that's going to happen so gonna offer it up and see if someone else can make the truck the highway star it once was. Refreshed 2014 Camaro confirmed for New York debut
Thu, 07 Mar 2013We've already seen leaked specs and potential spy shots, but the refreshed 2014 Chevrolet Camaro will make its official debut at the New York Auto Show in a few weeks.
Besides a tweaked exterior and the possibility of a high-output LS7 under the hood, we really don't know much else about the 2014 Camaro, but here's hoping for an improved interior, too.
In addition to the refreshed Camaro, Chevrolet will also be showing off the recently introduced Chevrolet SS, making its debut on the auto show circuit, and we'll also get our first look at the C7 Corvette coupe and convertible side-by-side.

Sat, 16 Feb 2013Think you've waited long enough for this? If so, then you'll want to savor the high-res photos we've so far been given of the 2014 Chevrolet SS, the first rear-wheel-drive performance sedan from The Bowtie in 17 years.
We all know its our version of the brand new VF-model Holden Commodore, but what's under the hood that earns the appellation "performance?" A 6.2-liter LS3 V8 engine producing 415 horsepower and 415 pound-feet of torque. That's 35 hp and lb-ft less than the same engine is expected to produce in the 2014 Chevrolet Corvette. Chevrolet says the sedan will get from 0-to-60 miles per hour "in about five seconds."
Shifting comes courtesy of a six-speed automatic with paddles on the steering wheel, while stopping arrive via four-piston Brembo calipers up front, a single sliding piston in back. The forged aluminum wheels are 19-inchers all around, each set supporting right around 50 percent of the sedan's weight, and the aluminum hood and trunk are meant to keep the center of gravity low.
