Just restored 1955 second series chevy pickup with NAPCO power pack. Frame off restoration included the following:

Powder coated frame
Freshly rebuilt high nickle four bolt main 350 small block with a Weiand 177 cubic inch supercharger
B&M turbo 400 transmission
Rebuilt original front and rear differentials with 3.90:1 gear ratio
Rebuilt NAPCO transfer case
Rebuilt brake system
New wiring harness
Paint is a three-stage corvette color
Oak bed with polished stainless
Original seat has been reupholstered

This restoration attempted to preserve the trucks originality with the exception of upgrading the engine and transmission. This restoration has taken a lot of time as I have focused on detail and originality. There are a few minor items remaining to complete the restoration. They include; wire Custom Audio car stereo, install horn, install heater fan, and install custom door panels. All required parts for completion come with truck. THIS IS AN AWESOME TRUCK AND THE NAPCO ADDITION MAKES IT A VERY RARE UNIT!!!!! Buyer to make arrangements for local pickup.

When it comes to technology used in racecars, we generally expect it to trickle down to production cars, not the other way around. Well, Pratt & Miller has developed a new rear-facing radar that operates in a similar fashion to what we're used to in modern blind spot detection systems, only it is also capable of tracking cars as they approach and relaying vital information to the driver via a large display screen.
The innovative radar system debuted at last weekend's 12 Hours of Sebring for Corvette Racing, and this system makes perfect sense for endurance races like this since the cars sometimes have to drive through the night and in poor weather conditions.
The radar can detect cars even with poor visibility, and uses easy-to-distinguish symbols for the driver to identify.

The Chevrolet Chaparral 2X Vision Gran Turismo is the rare concept car that salutes a seminal moment in history, yet also borders on science fiction.
Revealed Wednesday at the Los Angeles Auto Show, the concept uses the name of one of Chevy's historic racing partnerships, with Chaparral Racing, which dates to the 1960s. Chaparrals raced successfully at a range of levels, including IndyCar, Trans-Am and SCCA competition.
But the history ends there, as the concept's main purpose is as a racecar in a downloadable update for the PlayStation 3 game Gran Turismo 6.
