I have a 1953 chevy truck project. its titled as a 1954.

The reason it is a project is .
the body is the only thing from 1953
its sitting on a 1998 Toyota 4runner chassis
it runs and drives , but not road ready . Has all the wiring the 4runner . can hook a obd 2 to it. I didn't cut the harness .

 About the 4Runner

It has the 3.4l Toyota engine  automatic trans. it might have a slight oil leak from a valve cover.
just did a timing belt and tune up on it probably 500 miles ago while it was a 4runner

Now the project .

everything is welded in place or mocked up the steering needs some work . the joint makes some noise.
need to be finished .  Have parts and pieces that will come with the truck .

it has a extra left front fender.

I have the drivers door. a front bumper. I think I have both running boards. not sure if I have both rear fenders. the one in the picture is ruff. some glass

the bed has been cut out. I was going to put wood sides in it. it has been shortened 17 inches, the tailgate has not been cut . it has some rust holes in it.

the box has extra stuff in them from 5 years of this truck .

reason im selling it is ,Because I just got back from deployment and don't have time , money or interest in it anymore .

It is a project not able to drive away .

Pick up only

No refunds or returns. ask all the questions you need before bidding.

GM takes heat for aborted Silverado riff on 'Boston Strong' at World Series

Thu, 31 Oct 2013

During game five of the World Series, Chevrolet was set to do a spot of marketing for the 2014 Silverado - fans at Busch Stadium in St. Louis would hold up placards that spelled out the words "Silverado Strong," a theme that Chevy has been promoting since the Silverado's launch with the song "Strong," by Will Hoge. The St. Louis promo was ultimately called off, though, over concerns that it'd be insensitive to the visiting Boston Red Sox. (You can see the image of what the stunt would have looked like above, courtesy of one timely Reddit user.)
Now, the Busch Stadium stunt might not have been a big deal, had the St. Louis Cardinals not been playing the Boston Red Sox. Following the tragic events in Boston during the marathon back in April, the phrase "Boston Strong" gained traction among the city's citizens, especially at sporting events. So, you can imagine that Chevy's appropriation of the phrase might not sit well with some fans.
The stunt was ultimately shelved after images of the signs went viral before the game, leading to a bit of a public backlash. Chevy spokesperson Michael Albano said of the promo that it was meant to show the brand's "commitment to baseball and its fans." But after the images went viral, the company "realized there was the possibility that we may offend some of the very fans we were trying to honor," Albano told Automotive News via email.

Corvette Stingray Shooting Brake under consideration by Callaway [w/poll]

Mon, 18 Mar 2013

Callaway has released a few renderings of a design study for a shooting brake version of the C7 Chevrolet Corvette Stingray. The company says it wants to create a long-roof version of America's sports car to offer buyers more interior room and a vehicle with "unique style." The company says it will use structural carbon fiber for the new body bits, which suggests the conversion shouldn't add too much more weight to the Corvette. Along with a few mechanical tweaks, the Callaway Corvette Stingray AeroWagon could breeze past the 200 miles per hour barrier.
Provided that they get enough interest, Callaway estimates they will be able to effect the changes on the Chevrolet for around $15,000, and says the conversion work should be available through its network of dealers. You can check out the brief press release below for more information, or head over to the Callaway site to plunk down a deposit - but before you do, we want to know... do you find this C7 wagon interesting? Vote in our poll below, then feel free to leave a few lines in Comments.

Supercharged 2015 Chevy Corvette Z06 takes the C7 beyond the ZR1

Mon, 13 Jan 2014

The Z06 is just about everything we got in the last ZR1, but better.
After a bright-yellow false start, here is the real thing: the fourth-generation, 2015 Corvette Z06. If Chevrolet makes a ZR1 version of the C7 Corvette, it's going to be absolutely mega, because the Z06 is just about everything we got in the last ZR1, but better.
