1950 Chevrolet 3100 Pickup 4x4 Heat/a/c International Scout 4x4 Driveline on 2040-cars
Raymore, Missouri, United States
Unique truck...Bought this truck from an older gentleman that was liquidating some toys for retirement...He built the truck several years ago and has owned it for the last ten years...It is what I would call an amateaur restoration...This man has built several street rods and even a small airplane...Paint is 15 footer...body is pretty straight...Solid truck...Has heat and a/c...am/fm c/d player...power steering and brakes...Interesting part of this truck is that the drivetrain is from an International Scout...It is a 4x4 driveline...He told me that the Scout only had 48k actual miles on it when he did the swap...V8 345ci engine with automatic and manual 4x4 shifter...Oak bed with stainless strips...aluminum wheels with like new tires...I also have stakebed racks that will go with the truck...The truck has been sitting for a couple years so I will be having the tires balanced and having an oil change and alignment done on it...Again-It's a driver-not a show truck and it is priced accordingly...It has "personality" that you would expect from a vintage pickup...These pictures show it the day I picked it up out of inside storage...If I get time I would like to wet sand and polish it and fix the small ding in the left rear fender...I have clean and clear title in hand with no liens...NO TRADES...SERIOUS buyers can reach me at 816-604-8094...Make me a solid cash offer and I will end the auction-I'm here to sell it...It's for sale locally and I will end the listing the minute I have a deposit on it...If your reading this then its available...Thanks

GM recalls select Chevy Cruze, Sonic and Buick Verano models over airbag issue
Wed, 14 Nov 2012General Motors is recalling certain 2012 Buick Verano, Chevrolet Cruze and Sonic models due to a defect in the driver's airbag system. According to the National Highway Traffic Safety Administration, the airbag has a shorting bar which may contact two internal terminals. If that happens during a crash, the supplemental restraint may not deploy, increasing the risk of driver injury. The recall includes a total of 2,949 units.
GM will contact owners and replace the steering wheel airbag coil at no cost. At this point, it's unclear when the recall will begin, though owners may contact the automaker at 1-800-521-7300 for more information. You may also take a closer look at the full NHTSA notice below.
Feds open investigation into Chevy Express, Ford Freestar rust issues
Wed, 28 Dec 2011'Tis the season... for road salt. And with that, comes rust. And what does rust bring? Well, for Ford and General Motors, a National Highway Traffic Safety Administration investigation. According to The Detroit News, NHTSA is looking into potential recalls issues with Chevrolet Express vans and Ford Freestar minivans.
The feds have received five complaints that rust has caused leaking fuel filler pipes on 2003 Express vans. Separately, seven complaints have been filed over excessive rust in the rear wheel wells of 2004 Ford Freestar and Mercury Monterey minivans. The Freestar and Monterey went out of production in 2007. Neither issue has resulted in any crashes or injuries, according to the report.
GM recalls Chevy Express, GMC Savana over rollaway concern
Mon, 21 Jan 2013The National Highway Traffic Safety Administration has issued a recall notice for a small number of General Motors fullsize vans due to possible rollaway concerns. On certain 2013 Chevrolet Express and 2013 GMC Savana models, it is possible to remove the key from the ignition without the shifter being in park.
Only 980 total units are being affected by this recall, and GM is fixing the issue by replacing the ignition cylinder and associated keys. Affected Chevy vans were built during most of November and December while its GMC counterpart was only built for a week in November. The recall goes into effect on January 23, and to find out if your vehicle applies to the recall, the GM and NHTSA contact numbers can be found on the official recall notice, which is posted below.
