1950 Chevrolet Pickup - Short Bed - 1/2 Ton - Five Window - Restored

Up for sale is my restored 1950 Chevy pickup. Has 1800 miles on it since completing restoration and it has just started to get broken in! Always a California truck until recently when I moved it to Arizona. Still has all the original sheet metal with no re-pop metal bolted on it. Body is painted a gloss Mint Green that draws attention everywhere the truck is driven. Paint has a couple small chips on running boards from daily use. Truck has been lowered with a 3” lowered front axel up front and blocks in the rear. The truck is very reliable and solid as a new car, has never left me stranded and has been driven on many long road trips without any issues. Truck cruises down the highway and settles in a sweet spot around 60-65mph on the highway. Truck runs great in stop and go traffic as well and has never heated up. Comfortable bench seat and radio with iPod hookup in the glove box makes this an easy and fun truck to drive, always getting thumbs up and many questions where ever it is driven!

GM won't sell 2014 Chevrolet SS in Canada

Thu, 21 Feb 2013

Allow us to be the first to extend our condolences to our friends to the north. General Motors has announced the 2014 Chevrolet SS will not be available in Canada. The Globe and Mail reports the automaker has confirmed the high-performance sedan won't hit Canadian dealers, though GM hasn't offered up any reasoning as to why that is.
Buyers here in the US of A, meanwhile, can look forward to getting their hands on the 415-horspower, rear-wheel drive SS by late summer. Something tells us it won't be long after that before Canadian officials start seeing individually imported 6.2-liter V8 four-doors in their neighborhoods. Fortunately, Canadian buyers will still be able to take home the 2014 Chevrolet Corvette. The C7 bowed at the Canadian International Auto Show last week, reportedly drawing sizable crowds and interest.

Chevy Camaro is a good sport, wishes Ford Mustang Happy 50th

Tue, 15 Apr 2014

It was 1966 when Chevrolet launched its challenger to the wildly successful Ford Mustang, the Camaro. While the competition between the two brands was already healthy, the arrival of the Camaro set off one of the most intense, model-to-model rivalries in the industry.
That competitive spirit hasn't stopped Chevy and the Camaro from wishing Ford's iconic muscle car a Happy 50th Birthday as the Ford's April 17 anniversary rolls around. These two cars have been linked over the years, and while the rivalry took a break for a few years in the 2000s, today's competition between the Camaro and Mustang is as fierce as it's ever been.
You might recall that this friendliness when it comes to major milestones isn't too rare. Ford put on quite a display for General Motors' hundredth anniversary back in 2008. As the Camaro's fiftieth birthday approaches in 2016, we wouldn't be surprised to see the Mustang sending its best wishes to its Bowtie rival.

Chevy SS prototype spotted wearing Pontiac G8 clothes

Tue, 28 Aug 2012

Do not adjust your computer screen, you are not seeing the rebirth of the Pontiac brand. General Motors has chosen to use a G8 to disguise a test mule for the latest prototype of the forthcoming Chevrolet SS. The G8 was closely related to the Holden Commodore and Vauxhall VXR, the platform upon which the new Chevrolet performance model will be based. It should come as little surprise, then, that GM has opted to use the cladding from the former G8.
Thought the front clip of this mule is pure Pontiac, note the vents immediately behind the front wheel. That is a distinctive design hallmark of the Vauxhall VXR. Also note that this vehicle is right-hand drive, as the Holden and its Chevy counterpart will be very closely related. That likely includes potential drivetrains. The spy photos of this mule also reveal very wide rear tires, and rear wheels that do not match the fronts.
