Runs, Drives, Dumps Great..!

(*****~~~Needs Brake Work~~~*****)

Prior to our purchase of this vehicle, I was told that it had been parked for about 8 months. The rear rotors have obvious surface rust but also have some cracks in the actual rotors. We have a good set of replacement rotors which will be included with the sale of this truck. I was told that the rotors are approx $450 each if purchased new. I just drove this truck about 150 miles and found that the best way to operate in its current condition is to downshift and anticipate coming stops. At one point I had a vehicle make a sudden stop in front of me and was forced to slam on the brakes. The truck stopped but there was a significant shake in the brake pedal. Otherwise this truck truly drives great.

Some Features:

* CAT 6.6 L Diesel Engine

* 5 Speed Manual Transmission

* 2 Speed rear

 * Electric over Hydraulic Dump Bed

This Truck is a Blast to drive and Turns Heads Wherever you go..!

GM throttles back Chevy Malibu, Buick LaCrosse production over swollen inventories

Wed, 06 Feb 2013

As inventory of the Chevrolet Malibu and Buick LaCrosse continues to pile up, General Motors will be idling its Fairfax Assembly Plant for two weeks, according to Automotive News. This move comes about a month after the plant was shut down for three weeks in late December and early January for the same reason. As of January 31, the GM had a 94-day supply of Malibu stock while the LaCrosse was a little worse with a 117-day supply.
Just last week, GM announced that it would be investing $600 million in upgrading this plant, but it's unclear what future plans the company has in store for Fairfax considering slow sales of both the plant's models. We do expect a refreshed and more luxurious LaCrosse shortly and an early design update for the Malibu to be announced at some point this year, although we have had no official word as to when either will happen.

Corvette Stingray Shooting Brake under consideration by Callaway [w/poll]

Mon, 18 Mar 2013

Callaway has released a few renderings of a design study for a shooting brake version of the C7 Chevrolet Corvette Stingray. The company says it wants to create a long-roof version of America's sports car to offer buyers more interior room and a vehicle with "unique style." The company says it will use structural carbon fiber for the new body bits, which suggests the conversion shouldn't add too much more weight to the Corvette. Along with a few mechanical tweaks, the Callaway Corvette Stingray AeroWagon could breeze past the 200 miles per hour barrier.
Provided that they get enough interest, Callaway estimates they will be able to effect the changes on the Chevrolet for around $15,000, and says the conversion work should be available through its network of dealers. You can check out the brief press release below for more information, or head over to the Callaway site to plunk down a deposit - but before you do, we want to know... do you find this C7 wagon interesting? Vote in our poll below, then feel free to leave a few lines in Comments.

Hot Wheels' Twitter-enabled vending machine coughs up free Camaro diecasts

Wed, 27 Feb 2013

There are still plenty of companies that haven't gotten the whole social media thing down pat yet, but Hot Wheels isn't one of them. During the recent Canadian International Auto Show in Toronto, Hot Wheels created a lot of buzz for itself by using a vending machine filled with Chevrolet Camaro models, but instead of money to get the cars, show attendees just had to use Twitter.
To get the free car, people were asked to send a tweet to Hot Wheels Canada saying what they liked about the new Hot Wheels Edition Camaro, and including the #ChevyCIAS hashtag. This seemed to be a popular marketing tool, too, as AdWeek reports that the @HotWheelsCanada account more than tripled in followers during the course of the 10-day show. Looking ahead, this could open up even more innovative marketing possibilities using social media.
Check out the video posted below to watch how it works, and while the auto show has ended and the free-car giveaway has too, we're almost certain that some of the 1,500 freebies will make their way onto eBay.
