1970 Chevrolet C-20 Custom Camper Longhorn. Rare to find a Longhorn, Custom Camper combination. Very solid truck with minimal surface rust. No body rot anywhere. Has a few small dents and dings. Nothing big. Truck is lined up well. Doors, tailgate, and hood open and shut easily. Still has original moldings except for the rear. Paint is faded with small scratches and very minor surface rust.  I'm not sure if it has the original paint. May have been painted once but looks to have the original blue and white color scheme. Has good running original 350 V8 engine and transmission. Could use fine tuning and power steering has a leak. Brakes work but probably could use adjusting. The windshield has a crack and the seat has a few rips. A/C unit needs to be reattached. The bed has the original wood that is still in decent shape for use, no holes. This rare truck came with alot of extras as shown in the picture of the glove compartment sticker. Power steering, power brakes, air conditioning, etc. Has side steps and sliding back window. This truck isn't perfect but only needs a few minor things to be a daily driver or to be fully restored. Great collectible truck that hasn't been abused. This truck was purchased from an auction and has no door keys. Does have the ignition key. The ignition was installed in a way that a wire along the firewall has to be attached to start and then detached after. That shouldn't be hard to fix. I haven't had time to look into it. Has clear title registered in my name. Registered until 2/2014. I hate to sell but I have too many cars and not enough space. All shipping arrangements are the responsibility of the buyer. Please do the necessary research prior to bidding. Deposit of $500 is to be made by buyer at the time of auction closing. I will add more details and information if I think of any. Take a good look at the pictures. Please ask any questions you have before bidding. Thanks for looking!!!

Chevy confirms Corvette Stingray Convertible for Geneva

Thu, 07 Feb 2013

Want proof that General Motors has increased global ambitions for its 2014 Chevrolet Corvette Stingray? It's staging the world premiere of the model's convertible variant at the Geneva Motor Show early next month.
As previously rumored, the droptop rendered above will debut at the Swiss show, making its first appearance anywhere on March 5. According to Susan Docherty, president and managing director of Chevrolet, the location makes sense because Corvette "...is an icon that has long been recognized and admired even in countries where it's never officially been offered."
While neither Chevrolet nor the Corvette has a major sales presence in Switzerland, the Bowtie's European headquarters is located in Zurich (about three hours to the northeast of Geneva) and GM has made it clear that it wants to build the Chevrolet brand up across Europe.

Helicopter crashes on Top Gear Korea set while chasing Corvette ZR1

Mon, 11 Feb 2013

The formula of Top Gear Korea is seemingly about the same as it is everywhere else in the world, including the flagship British original: involve interesting cars in fantastical situations with charismatic hosts. That prescription has proved to be pretty reliable over the years, and has lead to some truly memorable and exciting pieces of television.
Something like that was undoubtedly what the Korean producers were after when they lined up this segment - a drag race between a Chevrolet Corvette ZR1 and an AH1 Cobra military helicopter. The planners almost certainly did not expect the filming of the segment to go quite as wrong as it actually did, with the helicopter actually crashing into the dirt after the "drag race" had been completed. Thankfully, we're told that no one was seriously injured in the crash, but the footage, in the video below, is pretty damn chilling to watch, nevertheless.

Dodge vs. Chevy tug-of-war taken to the extreme

Mon, 17 Dec 2012

They say "idle hands are the devil's playground," but said playgrounds grow to Disney-sized proportions when a pair of jacked-up trucks, two egos, a chain and an empty mall parking lot are involved. Proof of this is the video below, which shows a Cummins-powered Dodge Ram circa 2006 to 2008 chained tail-to-tail with what looks to be a gasoline-powered Chevrolet Silverado from the late 1990s or early 2000s.
We don't necessarily have to tell you who wins this battle, but we'll let you see for yourself the lengths the "winning" driver goes to prove his point. There's plenty of foul language in the video below, so beware that this might be Not Safe For Work, and not that we should have to tell you, but please, do not try this at home.
