The body and paint are all original, the car really looks great for being a '74, no rust!! There are some very minor and superficial scratches, blemishes and rock chips in the paint/clear coat, expected for the age of the vehicle, please see pictures. There are also some places on the car where the original paint has chipped off and some very minor surface rust is showing, mainly on the roof and top of the hood, please see pictures. There is a tiny dent, crease on the passengers side rear wheel well, please see pictures. Also, two of the original beauty rings on the wheels have scratches, please see pictures. This car has no rust or rot, only minor surface rust which you would expect for a 40 year old car.

The interior is in great, original condition! The original seat has a tear on the drivers side back rest, please see pictures. There are a few cracks/splits in the dashboard and the rear dash has some sun damage as well, please see pictures. The original windshield is in good shape, no chips and no cracks, all of the windows are original! The headliner, sun visors and door panels are in good shape as well aside for a few tiny nicks on the drivers side and the arm strap is missing, please see pictures. The original radio is no longer there.

The motor is all stock, starts instantly and purrs. The engine was just completely serviced with a fresh oil&filter change, new air&fuel filters, new spark plugs, distributor cap&rotor, points, timing and fuel mixture adjusted!! The automatic transmission shifts great, just serviced with new fluid and filter. Also, a new exhaust and muffler have been recently installed, stock. The car came with factory AC from factory, however the belt is not on the compressor at this time. This Nova has been well maintained and is in great original condition. The car does not leak a drop!! This Chevy runs and drives great with only 74K original miles!! The front tires are in good shape Marshal 791 touring a/s radial P195/75R14 M+S, the rear tires have lots of trad, however they have cracks, Uniroyal tiger Paw radial P195/75R14 M+S, all mounted on stock steel wheels with original hub caps! At certain speeds there is a faint noise coming from the rear of the car, possibly a wheel bearing? GM recalling over 40,000 Chevy, Pontiac and Saturn models over fuel pump woes

Mon, 01 Oct 2012

The National Highway Traffic Safety Administration has issued a recall for a number of General Motors cars and crossovers bought or currently registered in the hot-climate states of Arkansas, Arizona, California, Nevada, Oklahoma and Texas. As many as 40,859 units consisting of the 2007 Chevrolet Equinox, Pontiac Torrent and Saturn Ion and the 2007-2009 Chevrolet Cobalt (shown) and its Pontiac G5 twin are being recalled for potential fuel leaks.
This recall is being issued due to potentially faulty fuel pump components that can crack and cause gasoline to leak from the return or supply ports and possibly cause a fire. NHTSA has not indicated how many fuel leaks or vehicle fires have been reported. As a fix, GM will replace the fuel pump modules on all affected vehicles free of charge. Since Pontiac and Saturn have been shuttered, owners will be able to go to another GM-brand dealership to have their vehicles repaired.
While the list of affected cars and crossovers varies by state and model year, if you own any of these models and live in Arizona, California, Florida, Nevada, Oklahoma or Texas, be sure to check the official notice below for more details.

Chevy SS prototype spotted wearing Pontiac G8 clothes

Tue, 28 Aug 2012

Do not adjust your computer screen, you are not seeing the rebirth of the Pontiac brand. General Motors has chosen to use a G8 to disguise a test mule for the latest prototype of the forthcoming Chevrolet SS. The G8 was closely related to the Holden Commodore and Vauxhall VXR, the platform upon which the new Chevrolet performance model will be based. It should come as little surprise, then, that GM has opted to use the cladding from the former G8.
Thought the front clip of this mule is pure Pontiac, note the vents immediately behind the front wheel. That is a distinctive design hallmark of the Vauxhall VXR. Also note that this vehicle is right-hand drive, as the Holden and its Chevy counterpart will be very closely related. That likely includes potential drivetrains. The spy photos of this mule also reveal very wide rear tires, and rear wheels that do not match the fronts.
