1987 Cheverolet Nova,low Miles,no Rust,garage Kept,toyota Corolla,1.6l,automatic on 2040-cars

Up for auction is a 1987 Chevy Nova/Toyota Corolla hatchback with a 4-cylindar-automatic driveline. This one-owner car (we are the second) has only 93,200 miles on the odometer and is in very good overall condition. It was purchased new by an older couple and used only in the summer months here in Michigan (they parked it every winter and vacationed in Florida). It has spent most of its life in a garage and you can tell. There is little to no sun damage to car and all the glass is good. The vehicle is surprisingly clean as you can see and has an amazingly solid, rust-free body.
This vehicle runs and drives well but the exhaust has white smoke, especially when you first start it. The engine will surely require some repair or even a rebuild to bring it up to the proper specification. The engine does have some new parts on it, listed below, but the overall condition of the motor is unknown and in not warrantied in any way. Also, the headliner is falling in places and the left taillight is broken. The Autocheck report notes one 'minor' accident (which accounts for the broken taillight with duct tape on it). We picked this car up for my son to drive but he has purchased another, so I would like this one sold before the snow falls. This car is based on a Toyota platform so if you are into this kind of car this is not one to pass up. It is in amazing condition for a 26 year-old car. There is very little wear and the vehicle was obviously not abused or 'thrashed' on. Look over the high-resolution pictures and zoom right in. Feel free to ask questions and/or come take a look at the car here in Kalamazoo before you bid. No reserve. Here is a rundown of the vehicle's details: Platform: EA-82 (Fifth-generation Toyota Corolla) Motor: 4A-C, 1.6 L 8-valve SOHC, 90 hp Transaxle: 3-speed automatic, front-wheel drive 93,200 miles Rust-free Newer tires New timing belt New drive belts New water pump Very good exhaust system Very good paint Very good dash Good interior overall though headliner is falling Has one broken tail light Note: This vintage vehicle is drivable but nonetheless sold as-is for parts or repair with no guarantee or warranty. Thanks for your bid. |

2014 Chevy Silverado High Country spied wearing trappings of new luxury trim
Wed, 03 Apr 2013Spy photographers have spotted the new Chevrolet Silverado High Country and GMC Sierra Denali out on public streets for a little testing. From the looks of things, the Silverado will receive a much-differentiated front fascia along with special badges and those honking 20-inch chrome wheels. Expect to find a more posh interior as well. Likewise, the Sierra Denali will wear a tweaked nose with the familiar Denali bling. The one of the GMC trucks spotted here rolls on 21-inch gunmetal wheels instead of the 20-inch chrome pieces of the High Country.
Word has it both trucks will go on sale after the Texas State Fair this summer. While General Motors hasn't said for certain what we can expect to find under the hood, we'd be surprised to see anything outside of the range of engines found in the standard Silverado and Sierra models. That means buyers should be able to get their hands on the efficient, 23-miles per gallon 5.3-liter V8.
2014 Chevrolet C7 Corvette wastes no time zooming into Jay Leno's Garage
Thu, 24 Jan 2013Where else would you expect the 2014 Chevrolet Corvette Stingray to show up first? Although this time it isn't exactly in Jay Leno's Garage, Leno instead playing an away game at Brown's Classic Auto in Scottsdale, Arizona. Nor does Leno drive the car, instead taking an 11-minute walkaround of the new American sports car with General Motors design head Ed Welburn, the same man who recently brought by a string of classic Corvettes to the talk show host's California compound.
It is, admittedly, a love-fest for the American sports car now featuring 450 horsepower and 450 pound-feet of torque, but one that also features admissions about previous Corvette seats like "they were kinda rough," and the explanation that labeling the coupe "Stingray" means not having to call it "the base Corvette." On top of that, Welburn also explains the proper application of the term "dashboard." You can watch it all in the video below.
Which electric cars can charge at a Tesla Supercharger?
Sun, Jul 9 2023The difference between Tesla charging and non-Tesla charging. Electrify America; Tesla Tesla's advantage has long been its charging technology and Supercharger network. Now, more and more automakers are switching to Tesla's charging tech. But there are a few things non-Tesla drivers need to know about charging at a Tesla station. A lot has hit the news cycle in recent months with regard to electric car drivers and where they can and can't plug in. The key factor in all of that? Whether automakers switched to Tesla's charging standard. More car companies are shifting to Tesla's charging tech in the hopes of boosting their customers' confidence in going electric. Here's what it boils down to: If you currently drive a Tesla, you can keep charging at Tesla charging locations, which use the company's North American Charging Standard (NACS), which has long served it well. The chargers are thinner, more lightweight and easier to wrangle than other brands. If you currently drive a non-Tesla EV, you have to charge at a non-Tesla charging station like that of Electrify America or EVgo — which use the Combined Charging System (CCS) — unless you stumble upon a Tesla charger already equipped with the Magic Dock adapter. For years, CCS tech dominated EVs from everyone but Tesla. Starting next year, if you drive a non-Tesla EV (from the automakers that have announced they'll make the switch), you'll be able to charge at all Supercharger locations with an adapter. And by 2025, EVs from some automakers won't even need an adaptor. Here's how to charge up, depending on which EV you have: Ford 2021 Ford Mustang Mach-E. Tim Levin/Insider Ford was the earliest traditional automaker to team up with Tesla for its charging tech. Current Ford EV owners — those driving a Ford electric vehicle already fitted with a CCS port — will be able to use a Tesla-developed adapter to access Tesla Superchargers starting in the spring. That means that, if you own a Mustang Mach-E or Ford F-150 Lightning, you will need the adapter in order to use a Tesla station come 2024. But Ford will equip its future EVs with the NACS port starting in 2025 — eliminating the need for any adapter. Owners of new Ford EVs will be able to pull into a Supercharger station and juice up, no problem. General Motors Cadillac Lyriq. Cadillac GM will also allow its EV drivers to plug into Tesla stations.
