1965 Chevy Nova SS - Two door hard top

This car was garage kept since the 80's. Absolutely no rust. I have recently completely restored her to better than her original glory.

The body had all original sheet metal. The base metal was painted with epoxy primer, all body work done, additional urethane primer was applied and the car was blocked so this is a super straight car. The exterior was painted in in Dupont Flame Red and cleared with a Dupont clear coat 3 times with a buff between clear coats. You can see yourself in the shine. Most of the chrome pieces were sent off to be rechromed and the rest was polished to look like new.

The car is all power and a really fun drive. It has a rebuilt 327 365 horsepower 1967 Corvette Engine with a 350 Automatic transmission that was also newly rebuilt. It has a new aluminum radiator, a newly rebuilt 10 Bolt positive traction rear end with 355 gears. New bushings, tire rod ends, and brakes. A new dual flowmaster exhaust with chrome tips. New wiring throughout. New front and back glass. Rally wheels with 14" in the front and 15" in the back. All new BFGoodrich white letter tires.

The interior is all new buckskin. New gauges in the dash. This car needs to be driven to really appreciate. It runs and drives like a new one. One punch of the gas pedal will tell you she's all muscle.

Man surprises girlfriend with C7 Corvette

How would you react if someone just showed up at your place of work with a new, 2014 Chevrolet Corvette Stingray, complete with all the trimmings? While a lot of us would likely be flipping out over the still rare sports car, it's a fair bet many more of us would be responding like Pattie here, whose boyfriend stopped by her work to show her her new C7.
Speechless and shocked as she seems, she does end up taking it out for a drive, despite claiming she wasn't really outfitted to handle the car's seven-speed manual transmission at the time. From the sound of the video, we got the impression that she knew the car was coming, just not that it was anywhere near ready for delivery. It also, as Pattie says, seems like her boyfriend is more excited about the car than she (which, can we blame him?). Take a look down below for the full video of this C7 Stingray delivery.

Chevy Chaparral 2X Vision Gran Turismo concept blends the past and the future

The Chevrolet Chaparral 2X Vision Gran Turismo is the rare concept car that salutes a seminal moment in history, yet also borders on science fiction.
Revealed Wednesday at the Los Angeles Auto Show, the concept uses the name of one of Chevy's historic racing partnerships, with Chaparral Racing, which dates to the 1960s. Chaparrals raced successfully at a range of levels, including IndyCar, Trans-Am and SCCA competition.
But the history ends there, as the concept's main purpose is as a racecar in a downloadable update for the PlayStation 3 game Gran Turismo 6.

Final C6 Corvette built in Bowling Green

With all of the attention given to the 2014 Chevrolet Corvette Stingray lately, you could be forgiven for thinking that it's already well along in production, yet tooling up for the new C7 has only just begun. In fact, production of the outgoing C6 generation in Bowling Green, Kentucky just halted on Thursday.
As the C6 has aged, production numbers have predictably ebbed along with demand, but this year, the addition of the 427 and 60th anniversary models resulted in an uptick in vehicles built - this, despite a model year shortened by around 25 percent to accomodate the new model changeover. The final C6 Corvette ever, No. 13,466 built this year, was a white 427 Convertible destined for the General Motors Heritage Center museum. The car's 7.0-liter V8 heart was assembled by Corvette chief engineer Tadge Juechter himself.
In total, Bowling Green pushed out 215,100 C6 Corvettes over nine years. If you're still a C6 fan at heart and are hoping to get a good deal on a phase-out model, step lively - Chevrolet reportedly had about 6,100 unsold units, which Autoweek suggests is good for around five and a half months of supply at the model's current sales rates. Given that demand will likely slacken even further as the C7 draws closer, that should be a big enough stockpile to keep dealers satisfied until 2014 Stingrays begin showing up on their forecourts in December.
