1986 Chevrolet PRO STREET Monte Carlo SS. Let me start by saying this car is awesome and is a turn key cruiser NOT a race car. The cool thing about this car is it was purchased and tubbed within the first couple months and the 8693 miles on the odometer is actual and correct! The car was treated to a new aluminum headed 468 at Karl Moyer Chevrolets race shop less then 1000 miles ago. I further updated the car with a gearstar 700r4 good up to 700H.P. and new billet specialties wheels and Hoosier tires all less the 800 miles ago. The car has a Alston back half and dropped spindles and springs on the front. The paint is the factory paint that shows very well but it is factory not a high dollar custom paint job and of course no rust anywhere ever! the interior is perfect and get this the radio works as well as the gauges. The car is equipped with the factory T-tops and the red stripe package. Well over thirty five thousand invested selling WAY below that For questions feel free to call 309/721/9725

Chevrolet Captiva looks mildly refreshed and ready for family duty
Tue, 05 Mar 2013We showed you Chevrolet's major debut yesterday, the 2014 Corvette Stingray Convertible, but General Motors is making a big push for Bowtie consideration in Europe, so it's also introducing the updated Captiva crossover here at the Geneva Motor Show.
While still based on the same platform as North America's fleet-only Captiva Sport (which is effectively a rebadged Saturn Vue), the Captiva is available in both five- and seven-seat iterations, and it looks far more modern. That's particularly the case with this updated model, which features revamped front- and rear ends that include restyled bumpers, grilles and LED taillamps, among other changes.
As before, the midsize Theta-platform CUV will be available in both front- and all-wheel drive, and is expected to carry a range of four- and six-cylinder gasoline and diesel engines. Important US programming note: Chevrolet sources tell us that America's Captiva Sport will not receive these updates.
GM recalling over 243,000 crossovers over possible seat belt defect
Tue, 17 Aug 20102010 Buick Enclave - Click above for high-res image gallery
The summer of 2010's recall hit parade continues unabated today, with General Motors having just announced that it is asking 243,403 owners of its 2009-2010 Lambda crossovers to bring their three-row haulers in for inspection. The culprit? Second-row seat belts in select Buick Enclave, Chevrolet Traverse, GMC Acadia, and Saturn Outlook CUVs have "failed to perform properly in a crash."
According to GM, a second-row seat-side trim piece is to blame, as it can impede the upward rotation of the buckle after the seat is folded flat. As a result, if the buckle makes contact with the seat frame, cosmetic damage can occur, potentially requiring additional force to operate the buckle properly. So far, no great shakes, but in the process of applying that additional force, the occupant may push the buckle cover down to the strap, potentially revealing and depressing the red release button. As a result of this, the belt may not latch, or in certain cases, it may actually appear to be latched when, in fact, it isn't.
