1978 Monte Carlo Landau, 26,500 org. Miles. Dealer installed Dura-Coat undercoating ( This car has been sprayed with Dura-Coat in too many places to list, see pictures) including the inside of the frame, you can see the plugs where they sprayed the Dura-Coat into the frame-see pictures.1978 owner's manual. Like new interior, non-smoker. New catalytic converter and back exhaust.Good Tires. Comes w/ four new Monroe Gas-Matic shocks-new in box. New bumper chrome, new air filter, all the chrome and ornaments missing in the photos of the car were removed or are new, see pictures. They were removed to keep intact. AC needs to be charged, headliner & vinyl top needs to be replaced, There is surface rust behind each rear wheel and on the roof, See pictures. The doors on this Monte shut as if the car just came from the dealer. This is a 35 year old Monte Carlo that is a Solid car that in my opinion has minor problems that one would expect. It starts right up. All the lights and blinkers work and as written before this car is "SOLID". This Monty Carlo is original, nothing has been changed. With some attention mostly cosmetic repairs, this Monte could be cherry.

Full Disclosure: in my younger days, I loved nothing more than tormenting passengers with my behind-the-wheel hijinks. Once, after a particularly artful handbrake turn on a two-lane at around 50 miles per hour, I left one backseat occupant crying in their own lap. This isn't necessarily something to be proud of, but it gives you a glimpse into why it is that I find this ad from Pepsi so damn disappointing. The premise is beautiful. Take NASCAR legend Jeff Gordon, give him a disguise and set him loose upon some unsuspecting used car dealer. Hilarity ensues.
Except that this Pepsi Max commercial is so obviously staged, it can't help but feel like some ham-fisted marketing fail. From the strategically placed aftermarket cupholder mounted mid-dash for the hidden camera to the fact that the supposed dealer Camaro is displayed as a 2009 model (Hint: Chevrolet didn't make any), this clip is about as organic as a Twinkie. Still, we would never turn down a chance to watch Gordon thrash on a rental-spec coupe - only problem is, he probably didn't even do the driving himself. Check it out below.

Living in an apartment complex has its benefits, but for shade-tree mechanics who like/need to work on their own cars, it definitely has a number of disadvantages. Relatively simple tasks such as brake jobs and oil changes are difficult when you don't have dedicated driveway space, to say nothing of more in-depth repairs... like pulling an engine, for example.
