This car is a very well optioned car for its age. Power windows, power door locks, bucket seats with a power drivers seat, tilt steering wheel, cruise control, air conditioning, 402 big block V8, rally wheels, dual mirrors, 12 bolt rear end, automatic with a working console and a gate shifter. This is a 2 owner numbers matching car. In the late 90's the second owner had the bucket seats reupholstered in cloth rather than the original vinyl. At the same time he had the motor rebuilt and the car painted.The motor has about 60,000 since the rebuild. This car was never left outside the garage overnight. The only rust on the car is a quarter size area under the rocker molding. The only reason I found it was when I had a dent repaired on drivers front fender and wanted them to take of the molding rather than tape it off and spray around it. When looking at the pictures you will notice the wheel lip molding on the drivers side is missing. I have it but I took the pictures right after I had the dent repaired and hadn't put it back on. GM sweetens military discount for Buick, Chevy and GMC
Sun, 06 Oct 2013American servicemen and women interested in a new vehicle from Chevrolet, Buick or GMC now have a bit more incentive to head down to their local dealer, as General Motors has announced plans to improve its military discount program.
The new GM Military Discount Program offers eligible consumers a new Chevy, Buick or GMC at invoice pricing, which in some cases can take very large chunks out of a car's retail price. When factored in with other incentives, most of which are available with the Military Discount, the bargains are thick on the ground for members of the US armed forces.
GM's Retail Sales and Marketing Support general manager, Chuck Thomson, said, "GM has long supported the military and military families, and we hope this simplified and enhanced discount will show our appreciation for their service and help make it easier for them to own one of our great new vehicles." The program is open to all active duty and reserve members in the Army, Navy, Marines, Air Force, National Guard and Coast Guard, as well as veterans that have been out of the service for less than a year. Military retirees and their spouses are also eligible for the discount.
GM investing $167m in Spring Hill for new midsize vehicles
Tue, 06 Aug 2013General Motors has announced a large investment in its Spring Hill, Tennessee facility. The former home of Saturn production will be getting a $167 million addition to a previously announced $183 million, to cover a pair of new midsize vehicles. The investment is expected to create 1,800 jobs at the factory.
That $350 million is being divvied up for a pair of programs at Spring Hill. The first will take the bulk of the money ($223 million) and create 1,000 of the 1,800 jobs, while the other will take the remaining $127 million and generate the leftover 800 positions. But GM says the investment will cover "midsize vehicle programs." So what could they be?
The leading candidate in our minds is a new crossover for Buick, called the Anthem, that will slot between the Encore and Enclave, but will be slightly smaller than the Equinox and Terrain. As we've explained, the new model will likely be the first product to sport GM's new D2UX platform, which will eventually replace both the Delta and Theta platforms. Spring Hill is already building the Equinox, so there could be some credence to this theory.
