This is a RARE 71 Chevelle Malibu 400 Convertible. This car is an all Original survivor with only one re-paint of the original color, new top with glass rear window and new carpet. This car still retains the number matching 402 Big Block Engine, Turbo 400 Trans, and 12 bolt Posi rearend. Even the carburator, distributor, exhaust manifolds are matching. I have the original build sheet and protecto plate. This car comes highly optioned, with A/C, P/S, P/B, AM/FM radio, Cruise control and power top with the original top boot. The trunk is perfect and includes the original jack and spare. The interior is original bucket seat and console complete with rally instruments and in dash tach. This car has never been apart. This car is extremly solid with perfect original panel fit. Everything on the car works. This car runs and drives perfect. I have researched these Malibu 400's and have yet to find another 71 convertible. This car is in the LS3 registry. Please keep in mind that this is a very RARE UNMOLESTED CAR with documentation. First privately owned Corvette Stingray blitzes 1/4 mile in 12.23 at 114.88 mph
Tue, 01 Oct 2013Chevrolet's latest road rocket, the Corvette Stingray, is a very quick car. If one needs further proof of that, we recommend they take a look at this video from Hennessey of what is claimed to be the first privately owned C7 Corvette to make a pass down the quarter mile. Not just any quarter mile, mind, this black C7 blitzed its way down the tuner's primary testing dragstrip. The Chevrolet ran the quarter in just 12.23 seconds at 114.88 miles per hour. That is a very quick time for a stock car.
Equipped with the Z51 package and a six-speed automatic transmission, not only does the C7 run a solid time, but it does so with little to no drama. That won't last though, as Hennessey will likely return it to its owner with far more power - we just hope they show a drag run of the completed product. PickupTrucks.com's latest test results in a familiar winner [w/video]
Wed, 19 Jun 2013PickupTrucks.com has gone and thrown the latest batch of half-ton pickups into a cage match to see who would come out on top. The site put the 2014 Chevrolet Silverado 1500, GMC Sierra 1500, 2013 Ford F-150, Ram 1500, Toyota Tundra and Nissan Titan through a battery of tests. Those included 0-60 miles per hour acceleration, 60-0 mph deceleration, fuel economy, a hill climb, and payload and towing. They even threw the rigs on an autocross course to evaluate overall handling. Each truck was given points based on how it scored in each evaluation.
Who came out on top? Somewhat surprisingly, the 2013 Ford F-150 walked away with the gold, though fewer than 50 points separated first and fourth place.
