You are bidding on a 1965 Chevy Malibu Sport Coupe. It's been my daily driver now. Motor is a newer 350 ci. Solid motor mounts, runs great, new Edelbrock carb and spacer on intake. New 100 amp alt, Lights are much brighter. New aluminum radiator from speedway, also new trans cooler. New water pump and T-stat and housing, always runs at 180. New power glide trans. New heavy duty drive shaft. Interior is in super good condition black. Car did have A/C but removed the compressor. Heater works good, Fuel gauge works, and Speedo works good. Does have after market gauges (Temp/volts/Oil psi). New front and rear bumpers. New black door panels. New front windshield, and all other glass is in super great shape. Will need window felts, haven't done those yet. Super nice rally wheels and caps and rings. Tires still have about 80% tread left. The car has nice orange paint I think it should be painted with butternut yellow but I don't have the money yet to do that. Does have a little blisters over the rear fender well under the paint it doesn't seem to be rusting through. Seems like contamination when it was painted, like it wasn't prepped correctly. The car has Glass packs but is really not that loud. Now there is some rust under on the floor pans, Really not that bad. Some have been patched. Easy fix. I've been fixing it up while I've been driving it. A lot of new parts. I take it to car shows and a lot of chevy lovers really love the car. 65 Malibu's are really the best year out of all chevelles. Please ask questions, The car runs great and drives great with the power steering and power drum brakes. Also forgot to mention the brakes are new also. I'm not a dealer so the car is being sold as is. I have a book of paper work for the car, of the work that has been done. I have the title in my name. So bid to win.

Corvette Stingray Shooting Brake under consideration by Callaway [w/poll]
Mon, 18 Mar 2013Callaway has released a few renderings of a design study for a shooting brake version of the C7 Chevrolet Corvette Stingray. The company says it wants to create a long-roof version of America's sports car to offer buyers more interior room and a vehicle with "unique style." The company says it will use structural carbon fiber for the new body bits, which suggests the conversion shouldn't add too much more weight to the Corvette. Along with a few mechanical tweaks, the Callaway Corvette Stingray AeroWagon could breeze past the 200 miles per hour barrier.
Provided that they get enough interest, Callaway estimates they will be able to effect the changes on the Chevrolet for around $15,000, and says the conversion work should be available through its network of dealers. You can check out the brief press release below for more information, or head over to the Callaway site to plunk down a deposit - but before you do, we want to know... do you find this C7 wagon interesting? Vote in our poll below, then feel free to leave a few lines in Comments.

Mother's Day Suggestion No. 2,506
Thu, 02 May 2013With Mother's Day coming up, we're always looking for new gift ideas to celebrate the occasion, but hot laps around a track might not be the best suggestion for Darius Khashabi. In a video posted on YouTube, Khashabi straps his mom into the passenger seat of his C6 Corvette Z06 for some laps around Sonoma Raceway (formerly Infineon Raceway) at "60 percent" with comical results.
Now this isn't the first time Mama Khashabi has gotten seat time in her son's car around a track, as his YouTube page shows him pulling a similar stunt - with similar results - around Mazda Raceway Laguna Seca last year. Scroll down for the video, but know that the action really gets going at around the 1:40 mark.
GM takes heat for aborted Silverado riff on 'Boston Strong' at World Series
Thu, 31 Oct 2013During game five of the World Series, Chevrolet was set to do a spot of marketing for the 2014 Silverado - fans at Busch Stadium in St. Louis would hold up placards that spelled out the words "Silverado Strong," a theme that Chevy has been promoting since the Silverado's launch with the song "Strong," by Will Hoge. The St. Louis promo was ultimately called off, though, over concerns that it'd be insensitive to the visiting Boston Red Sox. (You can see the image of what the stunt would have looked like above, courtesy of one timely Reddit user.)
Now, the Busch Stadium stunt might not have been a big deal, had the St. Louis Cardinals not been playing the Boston Red Sox. Following the tragic events in Boston during the marathon back in April, the phrase "Boston Strong" gained traction among the city's citizens, especially at sporting events. So, you can imagine that Chevy's appropriation of the phrase might not sit well with some fans.
The stunt was ultimately shelved after images of the signs went viral before the game, leading to a bit of a public backlash. Chevy spokesperson Michael Albano said of the promo that it was meant to show the brand's "commitment to baseball and its fans." But after the images went viral, the company "realized there was the possibility that we may offend some of the very fans we were trying to honor," Albano told Automotive News via email.
