Greetings to All!! imotors is quite pleased to offer possibly the nicest, and certainly a Unique, 1958 Chevrolet Inpala Sport Coupe available anywhere! As we all know, Rest-Mods are the Rage!!!! We all see what they do at the "Big" auctions, with "Big" fees!!! This one has ZERO fees, just the bid price. It is truly gorgeous, and appears to have been meticulously built!! I purchased it this way, and have no knowledge of who did the work, or when. Several friends, who are long time "Car Guys" have given it their seal of approval. The attention to detail, and level of craftsmanship is quite apparent everywhere that you look. I will let the 80 plus pictures tell most of the story. I have driven it about 70 miles or so, and it drives fantastic....Like you would expect a modern car to drive. Nice and straight with no unpleasantries noted. Smooth and quiet. Starts first time, every time!!  It has been upgraded with many modern conveniences and performance mods to ensure a wonderful driving experience. Below is a list that I received when I purchased it. I assume all info to be correct, but don't guarantee it, or the car.

  • 348 V8 with 3 2 bbl Carbs that has been bored .030 with forged pistons, a 409 crank and heads. The heads have a 3-angle valve job. It has a nice mild hydraulic cam, and electronic ignition.

Final C6 Corvette built in Bowling Green

Fri, 01 Mar 2013

With all of the attention given to the 2014 Chevrolet Corvette Stingray lately, you could be forgiven for thinking that it's already well along in production, yet tooling up for the new C7 has only just begun. In fact, production of the outgoing C6 generation in Bowling Green, Kentucky just halted on Thursday.
As the C6 has aged, production numbers have predictably ebbed along with demand, but this year, the addition of the 427 and 60th anniversary models resulted in an uptick in vehicles built - this, despite a model year shortened by around 25 percent to accomodate the new model changeover. The final C6 Corvette ever, No. 13,466 built this year, was a white 427 Convertible destined for the General Motors Heritage Center museum. The car's 7.0-liter V8 heart was assembled by Corvette chief engineer Tadge Juechter himself.
In total, Bowling Green pushed out 215,100 C6 Corvettes over nine years. If you're still a C6 fan at heart and are hoping to get a good deal on a phase-out model, step lively - Chevrolet reportedly had about 6,100 unsold units, which Autoweek suggests is good for around five and a half months of supply at the model's current sales rates. Given that demand will likely slacken even further as the C7 draws closer, that should be a big enough stockpile to keep dealers satisfied until 2014 Stingrays begin showing up on their forecourts in December.

Corvette Stingray Shooting Brake under consideration by Callaway [w/poll]

Mon, 18 Mar 2013

Callaway has released a few renderings of a design study for a shooting brake version of the C7 Chevrolet Corvette Stingray. The company says it wants to create a long-roof version of America's sports car to offer buyers more interior room and a vehicle with "unique style." The company says it will use structural carbon fiber for the new body bits, which suggests the conversion shouldn't add too much more weight to the Corvette. Along with a few mechanical tweaks, the Callaway Corvette Stingray AeroWagon could breeze past the 200 miles per hour barrier.
Provided that they get enough interest, Callaway estimates they will be able to effect the changes on the Chevrolet for around $15,000, and says the conversion work should be available through its network of dealers. You can check out the brief press release below for more information, or head over to the Callaway site to plunk down a deposit - but before you do, we want to know... do you find this C7 wagon interesting? Vote in our poll below, then feel free to leave a few lines in Comments.
