2005 Chevy Impala -Very Clean - 47K Miles!!

4dr Sedan (3.4L 6Cyl) with Grey Exterior, Gray Interior. Power Front Drivers Seat, Cruise Control, AM/FM/CD Audio System, Power Windows, Power Door Locks, Power Exterior Mirrors, AC, Dual Climate Zone.

This car belongs to my 93 year old father-in-law. We are selling it because he no longer drives. He bought it used from the Chevy dealership in 2005 with  2,250 miles on it. It now has only 47,000 miles on it, and they have been very easy miles. This vehicle has literally only been on trips into town for the grocery store, doctors office, and church. It has never been in an accident and has been meticulously maintained with regularly scheduled oil changes, tune-ups, and annual hot oil undercarriage treatment to protect it from the Vermont winters. We had a new exhaust system put in several months ago and had the car detailed last week to prepare it for sale. The interior looks brand new, with virtually no wear on the seats, carpets, or headliner. The trunk looks brand new. The engine performs with as much zip as it did when it was new. The body is great, with zero rust, zero dents, a fantastic shine, with only the normal surface scratches here and there that you would expect to find on an 8 year old vehicle. Please note that the included photos of surface scratches show only the worst of the scratches, but not necessarily all of them. They are included to give an accurate indication of the car's overall condition and appearance. The tires have some wear, but are still serviceable for a few more miles. The bottom line is that this is a solid, dependable, fun car to drive that is in the best condition you will possibly find for any 8 year old car.

Feds open investigation into Chevy Express, Ford Freestar rust issues

Wed, 28 Dec 2011

'Tis the season... for road salt. And with that, comes rust. And what does rust bring? Well, for Ford and General Motors, a National Highway Traffic Safety Administration investigation. According to The Detroit News, NHTSA is looking into potential recalls issues with Chevrolet Express vans and Ford Freestar minivans.
The feds have received five complaints that rust has caused leaking fuel filler pipes on 2003 Express vans. Separately, seven complaints have been filed over excessive rust in the rear wheel wells of 2004 Ford Freestar and Mercury Monterey minivans. The Freestar and Monterey went out of production in 2007. Neither issue has resulted in any crashes or injuries, according to the report.

Next-gen GM SUVs caught wearing new boxy bodies [w/video]

Wed, 15 May 2013

We recently drove the brand-new 2014 Chevrolet Silverado and found it to be vastly improved compared to the outgoing model. And now that The General's pickup trucks have been squared away, it's time to focus our attention onto their passenger-friendly companions, the Chevrolet Tahoe and GMC Yukon (above).
Our spy photographers have passed along a huge smattering of photos (and a video), showing the new SUVs out testing. Both the short- and long-wheelbase models were spied, and while the overall shape of the vehicles hasn't changed all that much, we expect the updates to be substantial. In addition to new powertrain options, like GM's new small-block V8, we expect the interiors of both SUVs to get massive makeovers, providing better materials throughout their cabins and quieter, more refined environments. We even hear that some trick new suspension developments may be in store for upper-end models.
Visually, these spy shots allow us to see a couple of new details on the SUVs' front and rear fascias, including LED running lamps on the Yukon and some interesting LED taillamp treatments. Of course, the obvious third party missing from this set of photos is the Cadillac Escalade, but as we reported earlier, GM is working to further differentiate the 'Slade from the rest of the fullsize SUV lineup, and is working to make the new model "much less ostentatious."

Joe Flacco wins C7 Corvette along with MVP honors

Mon, 04 Feb 2013

As part of a longstanding tradition, the MVP of Super Bowl XLVII, Joe Flacco, quarterback for the Baltimore Ravens, was given a new car directly after the game and trophy celebrations. For 2013, that car is a 2014 Chevrolet Corvette Stingray, and it was presented to Flacco by Rick Flick of Banner Chevrolet, a dealership in New Orleans that was wiped out by Hurricane Katrina in 2005 before returning to prominence as the only Chevy dealer in Orleans Parish.
Last year, Super Bowl MVP Eli Manning took home a 2012 Corvette GS Centennial Edition. Manning also won in 2008, when he selected a Cadillac Escalade Hybrid as his reward. In 2011, quarterback Aaron Rodgers accepted the keys to a Camaro convertible.
Though we're most definitely an auto-obsessed group, we did watch the Big Game along with nearly everyone else in America. And we've gotta say, as if winning the Super Bowl and receiving the Tiffany-designed Pete Rozelle Trophy wasn't enough for the multi-millionaire MVP athletes, a brand-new C7 seems like an awfully generous prize. Scroll down below for an official announcement from General Motors.
