Listed is a 1995 Chevy Impala SS- clean title and has recently passed California smog. The car was a trade in at a new car store and we do not know much about the vehicle history other than what is listed on the CARFAX report. I will do my best to describe the vehicle-- According to CARFAX, it is a 2 owner vehicle and most of the miles came in the first 4 years listed as a corporate vehicle. Since then, the second owner put 100k miles on it in 14 years. The fuel pump was replaced roughly at 195k, a/c compressor at 208k, starter at 232k. Exterior: The CARFAX shows no accidents- however the car has been repainted and some of the panels are discolored which I pictured. The hood, roof, drivers and passenger door are fading. The hood and trunk do not align evenly on both sides however close just fine. There are no big dents to speak of. Interior: The interior is in very good shape especially for the year!! The steering wheel has some wear, there are a couple small holes on the drivers side carpet, the drivers seat has about a couple of splits starting toward the front of the seat and it has a scuff toward the top. The drivers seat belt is wearing but operational, the dash has a crack but there is a cover, the rear seat has a small 2 inch split toward the top. I pictured most of the small issues. The drivers door armrest is a little loose. Headliner is is good shape, the leather is in good shape, rugs, visors, front dash. All gauges work as they should. A/c blows cold. All windows roll up and down. Tires are good. Mechanically the car seems fine. I drove the car about 10 miles and it drives well. The transmission shifted fine in all gears and the car does not pull to either side. Overall, it's a decent car for the year being almost 20 years old. If you have anymore questions, please feel free to email me. The car can be viewed and inspected at our location. It is not for sale prior to the auction ending. We will help arrange shipping. CA residents must pay CA sales tax, license and registration fees. Gordon and Gordon Auto Sales 5290 Neroly Rd. Oakley, CA 94561 dl 50324 |

Fewer than 1 in 3 Chevy dealers earn right to initially sell C7 Corvette
Mon, 01 Apr 2013Looking to make the launch of the 2014 Corvette Stingray as efficient as possible, Chevrolet will be limiting the numbers of its dealers that can sell the all-new coupe and convertible. According to Automotive News, sales of the C7 Corvette will initially be limited to less than a third of Chevy's total dealership network when the 'Vette goes on sale this summer.
Only 900 dealers out of more than 3,000 locations nationwide will be allowed to sell the new Corvette at first, and the reason for this is so that there are no shortages at dealers that can actually get the cars sold. The article says that the 900 dealerships chosen represented 80 percent of total Corvette sales in 2012.
Some of the requirements dealers had to make to get initial allocation of Stingray sales include having sold at least four Corvettes in 2012 and having a Corvette Stingray specialist who will be required to have gone through a training session costing more than $2,000 per attendee. Once demand for the 2014 Corvette Stingray begins to subside - approximately six to nine months after it goes on sale - then allocation could open up to more dealers, but the report indicates this could happen following the 2014 model year.
Hurst Edition Trans Am proves the Screaming Chicken will rise from the ashes
Wed, 31 Oct 2012It seems the Pontiac Trans Am steadfastly refuses to die. Ever since Chevrolet was granted a retrofied Camaro to compete with the Ford Mustang, Pontiac lovers have lamented the loss of this 1970s icon. And, looking at the Hurst Edition from Trans Am Depot, shown here at the 2012 SEMA Show, may explain what all the fuss is about.
It's not going to appeal to everyone's muscle-car tastes, but there's certainly room for a brash-and-bold black-and-gold Special Edition in many a Trans Am lover's garage. After all, if you want the keys to a custom pony car, you'll certainly get noticed in this one. If this scheme isn't your bag,, you can alternatively order your Hurst Edition in white and gold or silver and black. Oh, and don't forget a color-coordinated Screaming Chicken on the hood.
No matter which way you choose to go, your inner Burt Reynolds will appreciate the Eibach suspension kit, forged wheels with Pirelli PZero tires, functional shaker hood, fender air extractors, rear spoiler and, of course, a Hurst shifter inside. The interior is emblazoned with all manner of special touches, including a Hurst dash plate and T/A stitching on the Katzkin two-tone leather seats.
2014 Chevrolet SS makes its live debut
Sat, 16 Feb 2013Chevrolet showed off the new 2014 SS in an airport hangar last night, its first rear-wheel-drive performance sedan in the US since the Impala SS from 1997. We'll have more to say about the SS later today, but this is the sedan that Chevrolet sees as the final piece in restoring its performance credentials. For those of you looking for a manual transmission, however, that wish will go unfulfilled - at least for now: the only two options buyers will have are the color and whether or not they want a sunroof.
We'll work on getting some more angles (in better light) today at Daytona International Speedway, but with fans seeing the car for the first time, we don't hold out much luck of getting a clear shot. So for now, enjoy the high-res gallery above.
