Completely Restored to Original 1962 Chevrolet Impala Convertible. Was under a 6 yr(1993-1999) Body off frame up restoration. Every part of this priceless vehicle was replaced (NOS) or rebuilt by my hands or trade specialist. The power-plant is the Rebuilt factory original 283cid-2bbl with rebuilt 2spd Power-glide tranny. Car has power brakes,power steering and convertible top which have been replaced or rebuilt (convertible top was new '92). Restoration was completed in '99 car was driven approx 14000 miles. This babied car has been in a heated climate controlled garage since purchased in 1992. Paint is still in excellent condition interior is starting to show small minor signs of wear. New tires have less than 400 miles since installed 3mos ago.Many spare parts included in sale(Drive shaft,side chrome,grill.....etc...) five boxes total. Car runs and drives 100%. GM recalling 118K Colorado, Canyon pickups over missing hood latches
Thu, 20 Dec 2012General Motors has announced a recall of 118,800 Chevrolet Colorado and GMC Canyon pickup trucks due to the possibility of secondary hood latches not being installed at the time of manufacture. The affected vehicles are from the 2010, 2011 and 2012 model years, all of which were built between November 9, 2009 and August 28, 2012.
According to the official National Highway Traffic Safety Administration report, these trucks fail to "comply with the requirements of Federal Motor Vehicle Safety Standard No. 113, 'Hood Latch System.' The hood may be missing the secondary hood latch." In other words, owners of these trucks could find their vehicles' hoods opening unexpectedly while driving.
The official recall campaign is expected to begin on January 17, 2013. Dealers will inspect the affected pickups and if a secondary hood latch is not present, one will be installed free of charge. Scroll down to read the official NHTSA report.
GM recalling over 40,000 Chevy, Pontiac and Saturn models over fuel pump woes
Mon, 01 Oct 2012The National Highway Traffic Safety Administration has issued a recall for a number of General Motors cars and crossovers bought or currently registered in the hot-climate states of Arkansas, Arizona, California, Nevada, Oklahoma and Texas. As many as 40,859 units consisting of the 2007 Chevrolet Equinox, Pontiac Torrent and Saturn Ion and the 2007-2009 Chevrolet Cobalt (shown) and its Pontiac G5 twin are being recalled for potential fuel leaks.
This recall is being issued due to potentially faulty fuel pump components that can crack and cause gasoline to leak from the return or supply ports and possibly cause a fire. NHTSA has not indicated how many fuel leaks or vehicle fires have been reported. As a fix, GM will replace the fuel pump modules on all affected vehicles free of charge. Since Pontiac and Saturn have been shuttered, owners will be able to go to another GM-brand dealership to have their vehicles repaired.
