I am selling my beloved Chevy G20 Family Wagon Van. I believe that cars like this need to tell a story so here is mine. I was working in a summer camp in Yosemite national park. When I finished we all finished work for the summer I decided to buy a van to travel around the country with a group of friends. I didn't know what a special car I had bought when I went for a 400 mile test drive with a mexican who spoke next to no english. There were many moments in the 4020 mile trip through route 1 up to Vancouver and back where the old car could have let me down but it was sublime. Every time in 115 degree heat of Fresno travelling up the 7,000 ft incline up to camp it was faultless and in the cold dark evenings in Vancouver it was warm comfortable and started perfectly. I cannot describe how happy this vehicle made me. The van gave me the opportunity to gain experiences I will hold with me for a lifetime. It only has 98,713 on it so it has so many more adventures ahead of it. It has its very minor faults but it is definitely the best way to travel with style around this wonderful country. I am sad to let it go but will be please to hand it over for its next adventure.

Additional Features:
- 2x Camping chairs (Great for sitting on the roof and looking out over the golden gate bridge)
- Cooking equipment including gas fire and pots and pans (Roadside eggs & bacon are simply the best)
- Mexican CD (Stuck in CD player but will get you through the long nights drive)
- Collection of CD's including Tom Petty! ( Didn't realise I couldn't get the mexican CD out before I bought them)
- Mini fridge with cool bag
- Sink with water tank
- 360 degree swivel chairs
- Bench seat that folds down into a very comfy bed
- 2x tables one middle one back fit in and out
- TV (doesn't work but duct tape and an iPad works a charm)

GM recalling 250,000 SUVs over door electronics

Mon, 20 Aug 2012

After a door-fire investigation that dates back to February, the National Highway Traffic Safety Administration has officially announced a recall today that affects around 250,000 General Motors SUVs for a faulty driver's door module. The recall applies to the Buick Rainier, Chevrolet Trailblazer, GMC Envoy, Isuzu Ascender and Saab 9-7X from the 2006 and 2007 model years, as well as the 2006 Chevrolet Trailblazer EXT and GMC Envoy XL for vehicles sold and/or registered in the Snow Belt.
Road salt use in these midwestern and northern states can lead to corrosion of the driver's door module on these GMT360 and GMT370 vehicles, which allows water to come in contact with the circuit board. If shorted out, the vehicle's power door locks and power windows will not work, and could possibly lead to overheating and, in some circumstances, a fire. No official word on how many total vehicles caught on fire, but back in June, 28 fires had been reported to the government agency. A fix for the problem is still being worked out, but all affected vehicle owners will be notified by GM.

GM won't sell 2014 Chevrolet SS in Canada

Thu, 21 Feb 2013

Allow us to be the first to extend our condolences to our friends to the north. General Motors has announced the 2014 Chevrolet SS will not be available in Canada. The Globe and Mail reports the automaker has confirmed the high-performance sedan won't hit Canadian dealers, though GM hasn't offered up any reasoning as to why that is.
Buyers here in the US of A, meanwhile, can look forward to getting their hands on the 415-horspower, rear-wheel drive SS by late summer. Something tells us it won't be long after that before Canadian officials start seeing individually imported 6.2-liter V8 four-doors in their neighborhoods. Fortunately, Canadian buyers will still be able to take home the 2014 Chevrolet Corvette. The C7 bowed at the Canadian International Auto Show last week, reportedly drawing sizable crowds and interest.

Hot Wheels Camaro to make big debut at Indy

Fri, 05 Apr 2013

Chevrolet handed over the keys to 33 Hot Wheels Camaro Convertible Indianapolis 500 festival cars this week. Race directors get the luxury of driving the droptops around Indianapolis in an ongoing tradition with roots all the way back to the 1960s. The stunt is supposed to remind area residents that the Indy 500 is right around the corner. The cars are our first look at the special Camaro Hot Wheels Edition in convertible form, and they are slated to head to dealers after a one-time production run. The cars also represent the first time in history full-size Hot Wheels have been offered for sale by an automaker.
The cars will be available in both the previously seen coupe bodystyle and this convertible configuration, and will feature metallic blue paint and special wheels with the iconic redline accent. Buyers will be able to choose between the V6-powered 2LT trim and the V8-powered 2SS guise.
Hot Wheels says the original Custom Camaro toy was one of the original 16 1:64-scale diecasts, and it remains one of the company's most valuable collector items today.
