You are bidding on a fully customized 1978 El Camino. Custom paint on body and frame. 350 V8 engine auto trans ,headers dual exhaust , aluminum radiator,20 inch wheels in all 4 corners.This car is custom in and out up and down.Car was a built around 4 years ago and new odometer reads 2400 + miles.Engine and transmission were reportedly crate or rebuilt at that time,but no documentation to back that up. This vehicle has no hood,no door handles,no heater or air conditioner.Push button key fob to open doors and also has custom wood bed floor.Drivers window needs minor adjustment and sometimes slips going up but always goes up with help if not on it's own. It has a radio, speakers but i have yet to figure out how to operate it.Vehicle runs and drives as normal. I would best describe this car as a 15 to 20 footer.The paint is smooth and shiney but as you get close you may start to see some imperfections.No visible rust but some minor,honestly almost unnoticeable bubbling down low in front of rear wheels most people will never see.The interior is custom but i would consider it an amature job. First privately owned Corvette Stingray blitzes 1/4 mile in 12.23 at 114.88 mph
Tue, 01 Oct 2013Chevrolet's latest road rocket, the Corvette Stingray, is a very quick car. If one needs further proof of that, we recommend they take a look at this video from Hennessey of what is claimed to be the first privately owned C7 Corvette to make a pass down the quarter mile. Not just any quarter mile, mind, this black C7 blitzed its way down the tuner's primary testing dragstrip. The Chevrolet ran the quarter in just 12.23 seconds at 114.88 miles per hour. That is a very quick time for a stock car.
Equipped with the Z51 package and a six-speed automatic transmission, not only does the C7 run a solid time, but it does so with little to no drama. That won't last though, as Hennessey will likely return it to its owner with far more power - we just hope they show a drag run of the completed product. Was the C7 Corvette cut from Beyonce's Super Bowl halftime show?
Tue, 05 Feb 2013Someone was bound to receive a free 2014 Chevrolet Corvette Stingray during the Super Bowl XLVII festivities; it just wasn't who we thought it was going to be. Despite a report back in December that superstar Beyoncé Knowles would be getting an all-new Corvette during her halftime performance, that turned out not to be the case. Joe Flacco, starting quarterback for the Baltimore Ravens, did in fact win a Corvette for his MVP performance.
So what transpired that prevented Beyoncé from rolling on stage in the new Chevrolet? Anyone who knows isn't telling, but according to Yahoo! Autos, General Motors said that for one reason or another a deal "did not work out," and it appears to have been an eleventh-hour change. Regardless of who's to blame or what prevented this from happening, we're sure Chevy has had no problems getting attention for the C7 Corvette since it was introduced last month.
2014 Chevrolet C7 Corvette wastes no time zooming into Jay Leno's Garage

Although this time it isn't exactly in Jay Leno's Garage, Leno instead playing an away game at Brown's Classic Auto in Scottsdale, Arizona. Nor does Leno drive the car, instead taking an 11-minute walkaround of the new American sports car with General Motors design head Ed Welburn, the same man who recently brought by a string of classic Corvettes to the talk show host's California compound.
It is, admittedly, a love-fest for the American sports car now featuring 450 horsepower and 450 pound-feet of torque, but one that also features admissions about previous Corvette seats like "they were kinda rough," and the explanation that labeling the coupe "Stingray" means not having to call it "the base Corvette." On top of that, Welburn also explains the proper application of the term "dashboard." You can watch it all in the video below.
