Hello and thanks for looking at this auction. You are looking at a 1977
El Camino in very good condition rust free California car (no rust in
the door jams or tailgate) and that has nice paint (has normal everyday
ware). It has a 350 auto 4v , ac works great, ralley wheels, great daily
driver. I am selling this vehicle for a friend so please ask any
questions. As far as I can tell there are no leaks. Car will pass smog
in California. All the glass is complete no cracks or chips and is
clean. The mileage is 73725 not sure if accurate. This car is being sold
as is no warranty. Buyer responsible for all fees related to this
auction and shipping. I can help on shipping if needed for an additional
fee. I can also find out about shipping through a company that is
reasonable if needed. Serious bidders only please. The car is also
listed locally so I reserve the right to end auction at anytime or OBO.
There is a few things that I can see that have problems. Behind the
front and rear bumpers, factory plastics have chips and small cracks in
them. The interiors trim that goes around window is missing. Rear window
trim is brittle. Fuel gauge does NOT work. Drivers door window seems
off track. Their is a $500 non refundable deposit due within 24 hrs of
auction ending and the remaining balance due 3 days after that unless
other arrangements are made. Thanks again and God Bless.

Official USPS Muscle Cars stamps coming to a mailbox near you
Thu, 21 Feb 2013As much as our digital lives have cut down on our trips to the post office, there are still times that sending "snail mail" is necessary. With us car lovers in mind and philately in their hearts, the good folks at the United States Postal Service will introduce a new stamp design called "Muscle Cars" starting on February 22.
Designed by artist Tom Fritz, the new collection of stamps consist of five classic muscle cars: 1969 Dodge Charger Daytona, 1970 Chevrolet Chevelle SS, 1967 Shelby GT-500, 1966 Pontiac GTO and 1970 Plymouth Hemi 'Cuda. In addition to just the stamps, the USPS is also commemorating the new series with plenty of collectable memorabilia. Previous car-related stamps include 50s Sporty Cars from 2005 and 50s Fins and Chrome from 2008.
GM recalls select Chevy Cruze, Sonic and Buick Verano models over airbag issue
Wed, 14 Nov 2012General Motors is recalling certain 2012 Buick Verano, Chevrolet Cruze and Sonic models due to a defect in the driver's airbag system. According to the National Highway Traffic Safety Administration, the airbag has a shorting bar which may contact two internal terminals. If that happens during a crash, the supplemental restraint may not deploy, increasing the risk of driver injury. The recall includes a total of 2,949 units.
GM will contact owners and replace the steering wheel airbag coil at no cost. At this point, it's unclear when the recall will begin, though owners may contact the automaker at 1-800-521-7300 for more information. You may also take a closer look at the full NHTSA notice below.
2014 Chevrolet Corvette C7 Convertible offers a few more views before reveal
Mon, 04 Mar 2013Over the weekend, Chevrolet released its first images of the new 2014 Corvette Stingray Convertible. Now, ahead of the droptop's official introduction tomorrow at the Geneva Motor Show, the automaker has given us a few more shots of the softop C7 showing off the car's rump albeit from a high, strategically positioned angle.
From this angle, it's hard to get a sense for how long and flat the decklid really is, but we can easily see that, like the rest of the C7's design, the new convertible's decklid and tonneau cover are far more detailed than the current car. We also get a better look at the rear haunches sans brake vents, which have apparently been moved to underneath the car in order to accommodate the top's hard cover.
As for the overall styling of the C7 convertible, with the top erected, we get some idea of what a coupe design (as opposed to the Stingray's fastback shape) would look like on this car. The C5 Corvette most recently had a coupe model that did away with the large glass hatchback, and we recently reported on a low-cost "coupe" model potentially being added to the C7's repertoire.
