AWESOME RUNNING EL CAMINO.  IF IT LOOKED AS GOOD AS IT RUNS I'D TAKE IT TO BARRETT-JACKSON.  ORIGINAL PAINT, SURFACE RUST, BUT BODY IS REALLY SOLID.  NEEDS DRIVER'S FLOOR PAN PATCHED (SEE PICS).  DENT IN RIGHT FRONT FENDER.  GLASS IS GOOD, MOTOR STRONG, TRANSMISSION SMOOTH.  THINGS I'VE HAD DONE IN THE LAST SEVEN MONTHS:

OIL CHANGE, TRANSMISSION SERVICE, TRANSMISSION MOUNT, VALVE COVER GASKETS (HAD VALVE COVERS PAINTED CHEVY ORANGE), REAR MAIN SEAL, FULL TUNE-UP INCLUDING PLUGS, PLUG WIRES, CAP, ROTOR AND FUEL FILTER, NEW FUEL LINES. NEW TAILGATE CABLES.  RECENT BATTERY.  TIRES HAVE TREAD, BUT HAVE A LITTLE DRY ROT.  YOU COULD DRIVE THIS ONE CALIFORNIA, WITH GOOD TIRES.  I CAN HAVE NEW 225/75/15 RADIAL TIRES INSTALLED INCLUDING BALANCING AND VALVE STEMS FOR AN ADDITIONAL 300.00, IF YOU WANT TO GO THAT ROUTE, I'LL HANDLE IT FOR YOU.  HAS THE FACTORY RALLY WHEELS.  BELEIVED TO BE A MATCHING NUMBER CAR.  I PUT A FEW MILES ON IT TODAY, AND IT FELT GOOD AND STRONG.  CLEAR TITLE IN MY NAME. DON'T HESITATE TO ASK QUESTIONS.  (423.646.2842). THIS IS LESS MY INVESTMENT, AND A SOLID INVESTMENT FOR ANY ENTHUSIEST.  FULL PAYMENT DUE WITHIN 24 HOURS VIA PAYPAL.

Callaway debuts its new C7 Stingray at National Corvette Museum

Fri, 02 May 2014

Callaway showed off its first tuned version of the 2014 Corvette Stingray at the National Corvette Museum last week, giving the rampant enthusiasts of America's sports car a look at the roughly 620-horsepower, supercharged rocket.
Unlike the Corvette SC610 we showed you back in January, this Stingray packs a fair bit more oomph. Horsepower is only up ten ponies, but torque has jumped from 556 pound-feet to "at least" 600 pound-feet. Neither horsepower nor torque is official quite yet, although Callaway is expecting to know just what its creation can do once testing and validation is completed later this month.
The 6.2-liter, supercharged V8 now boasts a new, three-element intercooler, which Callaway claims only allowed the inlet air temperature to increase by ten degrees Fahrenheit during dyno runs. Previous designs saw a 35-degree-Fahrenheit jump. The exhaust system has also been fettled with, and now is even less restrictive.

Are you the 2014 Corvette Grand Sport?

Thu, 21 Feb 2013

When are stripes more than just stripes? Follow up question: Is the product development team at Chevrolet really cocky enough to hide the next C7 Corvette variant in plain sight? This very recently spotted, and ostensibly obscured C7 asks a lot more questions than it answers, but there's at least some evidence to support that it might be the next Corvette Grand Sport.
The first and most obvious tip-off that something is up with this 'Vette revolves around those silver stripes. Obviously the stripes themselves don't necessarily denote a new model. However, when Chevy recently launched its "colorizer" website for the Stingray, there was no provision made for racing stripes - solid colors only.
Grand Sport exhibit number two is actually an incriminating lack of badges. The production Corvettes we've seen to date have all carried Stingray badges on their fenders, just behind the vent. The car seen in these images has no such badges, which is an intriguing omission on an car that looks like a production-spec vehicle otherwise.
