1968 Cheverolet Corvette 2 Door Convertible. This vehicle was converted from a 350 to a high performance 454 4 bolt main big block. Low miles on new engine. Only driven occasionally around the block. The engine has been completely rebuilt. Heads have had a performance valve job with new springs, seals, valves, port and polished, and milled. The engine has been bored out 0.100, line honed, hot tanked, decked. Peformance camshaft 0.630 lift. New pistons. Honed rods with ARP rod bolts. New Clevite rod bearings, main bearings, and cam bearings. Polished dual plane aluminum intake manifold topped off with a 850 cfm dual pump dual feed mechanical secondaries Holley Carburetor. Electric fan and electric water pump. New aluminum radiator. 4 wheel power disk brakes. New clutch. Completely Rebuilt 4 speed Muncie Transmission. New paint. L-88 Hood. Original Rechromed bumpers. Relatively simple tasks such as brake jobs and oil changes are difficult when you don't have dedicated driveway space, to say nothing of more in-depth repairs... like pulling an engine, for example.

2014 Chevrolet Silverado and GMC Sierra show all their sides in Detroit
Tue, 15 Jan 2013There could hardly be more riding on the next-generation General Motors full-size pickup trucks, so the automaker has wisely made sure to have a selection of different models on hand at the Detroit Auto Show to show off. The 2014 Chevrolet Silverado and 2014 GMC Sierra were both officially introduced last month at a stand-alone reveal, and now they'll be on display for the public to see in various body configurations and trim levels.
The Silverado LTZ Crew Cab and Sierra SLE Extended Cab are aimed at providing more of a high-end pickup experience, while the Silverado LT Z71 Extended Cab and Sierra SLT Z71 Crew Cab should have off-road fans scouting out their favorite trails. The crew cab trucks won't go into production until sometime during the second quarter of this year - with other bodystyles coming later in the year - but we have plenty of live images from Detroit for you to enjoy.
Was the C7 Corvette cut from Beyonce's Super Bowl halftime show?
Tue, 05 Feb 2013Someone was bound to receive a free 2014 Chevrolet Corvette Stingray during the Super Bowl XLVII festivities; it just wasn't who we thought it was going to be. Despite a report back in December that superstar Beyoncé Knowles would be getting an all-new Corvette during her halftime performance, that turned out not to be the case. Joe Flacco, starting quarterback for the Baltimore Ravens, did in fact win a Corvette for his MVP performance.
So what transpired that prevented Beyoncé from rolling on stage in the new Chevrolet? Anyone who knows isn't telling, but according to Yahoo! Autos, General Motors said that for one reason or another a deal "did not work out," and it appears to have been an eleventh-hour change. Regardless of who's to blame or what prevented this from happening, we're sure Chevy has had no problems getting attention for the C7 Corvette since it was introduced last month.
