Ok Folks!! If you have been looking for  that one particular car that would be the perfect investment then this is the auction for you. Corvettes continue to hold value more than any other car of the era, and the 1963 Chevrolet Corvette is one of the most collectable.Recognized as a special car from the day they were born, the Sting Ray Corvettes from 1963 to 1967 have always been popular to enthusiasts and collectors alike. This has meant that the price range of these cars has always been very strong. Here is your chance to own a 1963 Corvette that needs NOTHING at all to be finished. It is ready to show/drive. Full frame off restoration with no expense spared!!

This corvette was rebuilt, or restored to the NCRS specs as close as possible. The owner  even went to the expense to fix the a-arms to original new standards. An example is, where the A- Arms are connected to the frame, the NCRS judging manual states that the rivets that were on the car when first built, can be replaced with bolts. He used rivets instead. And this was not an easy task.
Besides new top and interior, all date correct alternator, starter, windshield washer, radio, clock ect. all off these are dated one month before the assembly date of the car. This is the correct way of a restoration. Including date correct rear window for new convertible top, and rear view and side mirror. Cluster gauged was professionally rebuilt, odometer was reset to 0 miles. The original clock and radio were rebuilt buy the same company.
Most parts used in the restoration were purchased from many of the best Corvette parts supply companies. As a mater of fact a vast amount of parts used were in the original old parts boxes that were sold in the 1960's

This car is a blast to drive, trust me. Its like driving  a 300 hp go cart with a 4 speed.
The only thing not original on the Corvette is a set of $2800.00 wire wheels built for this car. These wheels were also used on the 1964 corvettes.  The owner have all the receipts  and pictures of the restoration.

This is an original early production 1963 Corvette Convertible. It has a 327-300 hp rebuilt engine with a 4 speed rebuilt transmission. Numbers matching. AM radio with Wonder-Bar (seek & scan). All gauges and electric components have been completely refurbished including the gauge cluster, original radio and clock. Original operators guide included. As you can see from the pictures,no expense was spared with the paint and all new interior. Everything on this Corvette looks like the car just came off the show room floor, brand new car
Headlight motors,  wind shield wipers have all been rebuilt.

Next-gen Chevy Cruze caught cruising in the cold

Wed, 13 Feb 2013

Spy photographers have caught what looks like the next-generation Chevrolet Cruze out on snow patrol. The camo could be tricking our eyes, but it look like it has an even tidier, more rounded front end and even lower fenders in relation to the top of the hood. And either a chunk of camo has been wedged between the side mirrors and the doors, or the mirrors are up for revision, too.
The door handles have been moved up the side of the car, leading the way to a rear end that grows a bit in length. If the rumors are true, the coming second-generation Cruze sits on the new D2XX platform that will replace the Delta and Theta platforms at General Motors. A global architecture, the Cruze will be the first to get it, but it will underpin everything from next Chevrolet Volt to the Equinox and could be responsible for 2.5 million units by 2018. The next Cruze is expected to begin production in GM's Lordstown, Ohio plant in the third quarter of 2014.

Why does the Corvette Stingray have so many vents? Here's why

Sun, 27 Jan 2013

Just looking at the new 2014 Chevrolet Corvette Stingray, it's not hard to see that the car's design was created with aerodynamics at the forefront, but Chevrolet designers point out exactly what went into designing the iconic coupe in a pair of recently released videos. The videos show the Corvette going through early design phases, including clay models and wind tunnel tests, as well as talking to the car's chief engineer, Tadge Juechter.
Both videos help explain various aspects of the C7 Corvette, but it's the aero tuning of the car that is most interesting. This includes extra attention paid to the lower air dam and vented hood to help reduce drag and lift, while the rear quarter inlets are for differential and transmission cooling. Juechter said that some of these aero-tuned elements were inspired from GM's involvement in racing.
If you have about five minutes and you can't get enough information about the new 'Vette, then check out the videos posted below.

GM won't pay owners of recalled cars for lost value

Thu, 12 Jun 2014

Kenneth Feinberg, the man in charge of the General Motors compensation fund dealing with the its widespread ignition switch woes, has issued an informal, two-letter response to the plaintiffs in more than 70 lawsuits seeking redress for lost resale value of their Cobalts: "No." The cases were recently combined into one, but Feinberg told The Detroit News that the fund will deal "only with death and physical injury claims," and that "perceived diminished value" will get no consideration.
ALG, the firm specializing in establishing residual values, determined that Cobalt owners had lost $300 compared to the segment competition and doesn't envision any long-term effects from the recall situation. Feinberg's statement comes in advance of public details on how the compensation fund will work and adheres to GM's long-held position on the matter. The company has already asked a judge to throw out such suits using the pre-bankruptcy defense, even as it stopped using that defense in cases of injury and death.
With plenty of potential gain from the GM suit, however, don't expect the plaintiffs to give up yet. When Toyota was sued for the same reason during the unintended acceleration debacle, it eventually settled the case for between $1 billion and $1.4 billion just to get it over with. Since the 85 law firms involved in the Toyota litigation took home more than $250 million of that total, we shouldn't expect the attorneys to give up on a GM payout, either.
