For sale, 1955 Corvette. This is one of the rarest Corvettes in existence. It is one of the 7, G.M. made with the 6 cylinder engine in 1955. It is the first of the 6 cylinder cars to be assembled. It has had an outstanding restoration done to N.C.R.S. standards. This was a 6 year restoration, everything was redone. All the mechanicals and cosmetics are factory new. Every factory inspection marking and stencil has been put back. The 6 cylinder cars had many things that were different than the V-8 cars. The 6,s had a 6 volt electrical system. The hood, frame, dash, exhaust,X brace, even the gas pedal was different. The 6 cylinder cars did not have a V on the vin plate. It currently has just 7 test miles since being finished. The editors of Sports Car Market saw the car and rated it a #1 and said it was flawless! This will make an outstanding addition to someones collection. I may take a late model Corvette as a partial trade. The golden rule to collecting anything is to collect the rarest and the best, this is both. If you have any questions please call Tom , 262..844..6035 thank you

Watch how Corvette Racing's new collision-avoidance radar system works
Fri, 22 Mar 2013When it comes to technology used in racecars, we generally expect it to trickle down to production cars, not the other way around. Well, Pratt & Miller has developed a new rear-facing radar that operates in a similar fashion to what we're used to in modern blind spot detection systems, only it is also capable of tracking cars as they approach and relaying vital information to the driver via a large display screen.
The innovative radar system debuted at last weekend's 12 Hours of Sebring for Corvette Racing, and this system makes perfect sense for endurance races like this since the cars sometimes have to drive through the night and in poor weather conditions.
The radar can detect cars even with poor visibility, and uses easy-to-distinguish symbols for the driver to identify.
2013 Chevy COPO Camaro announced with two new engines and manual option
Thu, 07 Mar 2013Chevrolet is following up the 2012 COPO Camaro with another limited run of the drag-strip-ready production car for 2013. Ditching the superchargers, the 2013 COPO Camaro can only be equipped with one of three naturally aspirated V8 engines, and other new features include the option of a manual transmission, new front springs, some minor styling changes and a lower starting price of $86,000. All cars are designed to abide by the rules of the NHRA's Stock Eliminator or Super Stock classifications, depending on in which series buyers wish to enter their Chevrolet Camaro.
Returning for 2013 is the 427-cubic-inch V8 producing 425 horsepower, but the new engines include a 325-hp 350-CID V8 and a 375-hp 396-CID V8. Buyers can select to purchase all three engines, and each will be matched with the sequence number of that car; the track-only COPO cars will not have vehicle identification numbers and can't be registered for street use.
Chevrolet is also offering unique enthusiast-specific options such as a COPO Build Book and the opportunity for owners to help assemble their car's engine at the Chevrolet Performance Build Center in Wixom, MI.
